Bugg is done

Kentband Vanders need yo find continuous form at VFL level. Neither has done much of anything at AFL level

i love how people think that average VFL players can fix our ills

No one said that.

Not in so many words maybe. But there are a lot of posters who seem to think that the 19 yr old Baker is going to fix our outside run problem. Or that Keilty would come in and do a better job then Oscar McDonald who a 'woeful footballer'.

I think when supporters see Kent kick a few or Vanders lay a dozen tackles that they would immediately come in and make an impact at AFL level. Both of those guys aren't AFL match fit. Goodwin mentioned in a press conference last week that AVB was a month away with him needing to build form and fitness at VFL level.

Harmes will play this weekend I reckon.

I think he'd be one of our toughest players alongside Viney, Nev, Oliver, Hibbo and Brayshaw.

So weโ€™re going to make a change even though it will offer no improvement. How about we just leave it. Iโ€™ve a soft spot for JKH cause heโ€™s worked his backside off to get here. It takes more than 2 games to find the pace of the game, Iโ€™d give him 5 gamesย

Yeah Lets play him because you have a soft spot for him.

And he still won't have it RI

You have a soft spot..... that's fine. I don't. He's used up all his goes.ย  Absolutely he tries hard. He has half a game really ( kinda fits us perfectly come to think of it ) Irony...he's all defence...not much chop for a small fwd .

Still think we need extra heightย

I think Pedersen gives us versatility and I like his reliable clunking

So a small needs to come out, if not JKH then it has to be Jeffy for mine and push JKH deep forward

Glad we agree

JKH stays in, we have no one to replace himย

If he stays we are in worse shape than I thought! Gave us ZILCH then missed a Crucial goal through panic!

Not the answer!

Anyone can replace JKH he is useless.

Oh lordย

I have seen JKH tackle well and hunt the ball at VFL level.

could he play the Vince tagging role against Adelaide?

even if he swaps in and out of this role. He can use the ball well

We play Adelaide Oval really well.ย  Probably as well as we play Etihad.

We flogged the Crows there by 8 goals last season, and beat both Port and the Crows there in 2016. Should have rolled Port a few weeks ago but didn't take our chances.

ย

I say no change unlesss we need an extra key back in Pedo.ย

We were so good for so long on Saturday which gets lost a bit due to the gut wrenching way we lost

Above average Vfl playersย  get games over average Vfl players but when those better Vfl players get their chance and constantly fail then you have to then rely on the average Vfl players and hope that somebody can step up. Don't be surprised an average player in Baker gets a game.ย

He'd break your heart if we were in the finals & he panics

Exactly jkh gave us nil.ย

He panicked when he should have won the game

i gave him the benefit of a chance but he is not afl standard

move over and give Baker his deserved shot

I remember him taking strong grabs, and knocking the stuffing out of players at the contest.ย  I liked him.ย  Still do.ย  He's a hungry young man.ย ย

I agree with those things.ย  I liked him too. And was excited for what he could be.ย  But he wasn't an elite talent nor an established AFL player.ย  And with his actual stats,ย  those big marks and goals were remembered were actually not that frequent.ย

He is tough, physical, competitive and had potential,ย so I hope he can make it back. I just think that we're remembering his output fondly based on nostalgia and our overall terrible performance at the time, and rating current players low because their weaknesses are currently exposed.ย

Will we be happy with 12 possessions from VDB? Because we aren't happy with 15-20 from Pettracca, nor 15 and 2 goals from ANB...

I'm not an ANB fan but he was very good against Geelong.ย  Generally clean ball winning and he used it well.

We canโ€™t have watched the same game! ย My new nickname for Nibbler is Fumbles.ย

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
