Jones - disposal was iffy

Viney - great second half

Jetta - had little involvement

O.McDonald - was rarely troubled

Smith - little to excite

Lewis - fumbled too often

Frost - impressive and steady

Salem - kicking was sublime

Stretch - improved with confidence

Oliver - 4 impressive quarters

Gawn - dominated the centre

Fritch - is looking tired

Melksham - was hardly sighted

T. McDonald - provided a target

Spargo - did little well

Hogan - team focused game

Neal-Bullen - effective tagging game

Garlett - on shaky ground

Hibberd - reliable and effective

Brayshaw - classy and prolific

Harmes - continued impressive patch

Petracca - more impressive output

I'm loving the Salem attention at the moment. His skill in this 22 is massive.

Fritsch looking tired?  What game were you watching joeboy?  The bloke had 25 touches and got better as the game wore on.

Who was ANB tagging by the way?

Generally agree with the rest, but the Fritsch one is a shocker.

I hope Stretch gets a game next week?

Fritschy was good tonight.

Why wouldn't he? i thought he showed good composure, busted tackles, laid tackle, adds much needed speed why would he get dropped?

Fritsch looking tired?

He was clearly a top 5 player and was gliding for mine.

Think ANB was tagging himself - and it worked.

Lewis - 50m penalty was undisciplined and tendency to avoid picking up the hardball looking to soccer it / disposal wasnt as effective perhaps the humidity / not his best

MFC - small forward problems

Garlett did a bit, but not enough. Spargo was similar. We are in desperate need of a solution when the ball is brought to ground inside our forward 50. Melksham and Nibbler are also cooling off meaning we are very Hogan and Tmac reliant for kicking a winning score

I don't have the answer, but this might be something to address in the draft.

He was tagging the standard of the game and it worked.   But unlikely he was shutting down a specific opponent.  He started on the bench and in the first 15 minutes he can be seen chasing after Sheridan, Hamling, Ryan and Wilson at various points.

Well he has been in the past.

Drop him for Baker. Give him a kick in the ass for a better end to the year!

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
