Well you can lock Hawthorn in for another finals spot. Such an easy run home.

Geelong as usual with two gifts in the final two rounds - at home to Freo and  Gold Coast.

The AFL really love to look after the Cats and Hawks.  Sickening.

Hmmmm

?

I know but can't we just dream of playing in September for once instead of just assuming the absolute worst is going to happen (again)!?

The Swans suddenly looking vulnerable.

And we play them in round 21...  the stakes will be huge.

Its well overdue, a serious ravalry/hatred between Melbourne and Sydney

Potential that has just sat here, both clubs have never really pursued it hard, maybe we were just not strong enough before.

Everything else between Melbourne and Sydney is dead serious

Step up Demons. Create another Marquee game.

Use our name

The obvious answer is YES.

However the MFC has such a long tradition of failure it is very difficult to not expect the worst.

Sad? Yes but understandable.

I was 17 when I saw us win our Grand Final in 1964.

I didn't think I'd reach 71 without us winning another!

The EH Holden had just been released along with “A Hard Day’s Night”

and some people call me impatient for some real success

We can tell.

Me? I was a spritely teen the last time the dees played finals. Now I'm staring down the barrel of 30 and I still hold that Chopper Carroll takedown on Fraser Gherig as my most loved footy moment.

Same same. Was with the cheer squad in "T" section and lost my voice for quite a while after the match. Stayed at the G overnight and got home late Sunday.

30 was a good year. They went fast after 30 though, be ready.

The only constant each year has been the failing of the MFC, with some different excuse!!!! :)

You could stay inside the stadium back then or did they shunt you into the carpark?

my dad and his mates would often end up at one of the players houses after a GF and literally go from house to house for about 5 days!

I have us playing the Hawks (6v7) if we can snag one against Geelong (And of course beat WB/GCS/ADEL/GWS)

Can't wait to get one back against that mullet haired Stratton [censored].

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
