I have a gut feeling we will comfortably put away the Pies.

Missing out last year may have been the very thing needed to put that hard edge on our mindset.

Getting thrashed by Hawks honed it sharp and keen. Since then we haven't looked back.

Looking forward to a hard focused relentless attack on ball and man Monday.

Win or lose, how we play it out will show us whether we're the real deal or just pretenders coasting on a streak of hot form.

GO DEMONS!

Starting to feel a bit anxious about tomorrow’s game, I can feel it in my plums. Collingwood have been slow to start, if we could capitalise on that and kick the first few I think we’ll be ok. If we also start slow I think the game will be a slow grind and could go either way. Dees by 64.

Top 10 Players Last Round (11) Comparison / Score / Rank*

* Apologies to Maxy as comparative score does not account for Maxy's Hit Outs to Advantage, which would no doubt place him easily in the top 5 last week.  Grundy also missing this stat of course.

Overall Team Score Comparison

- includes the "Ins" of Pedders & Joel Smith (Smith given a best guess / low notional score having no prior games data to utilise)

Demons:  79.80   Magpies:  77.42

Differential:   Demons +2.38

Vs Bulldogs Rnd 11 (Compiled from previous week's Rnd 10 Matches)

Demons:  83.80   Bulldogs57.87

Differential:  Demons +31.40

Statistically (and in reality as we know) the Demons are in superb form but not quite at the level we were at vs the Crows.   The Pies are in blistering form also and technically should be right in this match up to their eyeballs.

Based on pure stats and using the team differentials from the Crows game a few weeks back as a base (neutral territory and assuming no home ground goal advantage from the umps, unlike the Dogs match last week) this one looks like going down to the wire.

Pure Stats Predictor:  The Mighty Demons in a nail biter by a miserly 7 points!

So many reasons why it's important to win tomorrow. Not just to get one over the pies but to grab 2nd spot and a 2 game break on nth, collingwood and port.

The biggest reason for me is to just put Rd 23 last year behind us.

We need to win tomorrow and claim second spot on the ladder. Lots of our finals competitors have fallen over, so this is a good chance to put a gap between us now. I think the selection panel have got the (forced) changes right this week. Pedo has been in ripping form in the VFL all year and has learnt his shot replacing Bull Smith. J Smith, though I haven't seen him dominate at VFL level has the right skillset and attributes to make it as a player, and with his leap he could fill the Lever role down back.

Get it done Dees!

This is Collingwoods grand final.

Their bogan supporters get up for this game every year as their pitiful club has nothing else to look forward to.

Stretch and Garlett held over. Any late mail on Melksham. Jeffy may get the late call up.

Isnt Hannan the one in doubt?

Bit of a concern that two players from Casey (Jeffy & Billy) were held over for the game tomorrow. Are there still doubts on Brayshaw and Hannan or is the club playing funny business?

what are the doubts on brayshaw?

Always a possibility but as a precaution , a north player withdrew last week after warm up , freo player today hurt his back getting out of his car  today?

Ill take a win by any points , 2nd and the bye awaits to give us a chance to rest us rest for remainder of season . The loss vs geelong was costly in relation to the 4 points. We had a bad quarter against hawks and tigers. TMac and Jack V coming back in has made difference. Hogan has more freedom and Opponents must give  both players respect. Viney gives oliver and jones a chance to play without a tagger.Other players have improved playing in winning teams , Anb , hannan , melksham . We arent relying on Bugg to kick 1.4 from 50 meter shots . We are having shots at goal from 40 meters from hogan tmac, hannan , petracca , brayshaw. Even maxxy us causing havoc when resting , pity about his kicking.

Our defence has tightened up , jetta continues last years form , wise heads of lewis and vince.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
