Pedersen for Hogan makes sense. Vince and Jones taking JKH's and Trengove's spots also makes sense.

Hannan has been "rested" - probably not a bad idea, assuming it's true, and gives Maynard a taste.

This game is winnable. GWS has hardly played a good game for two months.

On a side note, how stupid is it that we haven't played GWS in over a year after playing them twice in two games.

I was thinking the same thing.

Since we last played GWS, they've played Sydney five times.

Not sure why Weiderman wasn't picked?

I assume its because the FD think Pederson is more likely to perform at the required level.

Weiderman will have his time over the coming years, but now we need to win a few games and make finals and I agree with the FD that Pedo is more likely to deliver.

It's an easy decision pedo backs up gawn in the ruck, McDonald is much more likely to have a day out than pedo up forward so he needs to stay close to goal, the weed just is not ready and I would just leave him at Casey now for the rest of the year

Happy they didn't pick Weid, has had a few decent games at VFL level but hardly banging the door down.  Pedo matched or even bettered him the last few games so to me its a no brainer.

Feel bad for Trenners, if he gets not interest for trades, maybe we can delist him and rookie him like we did with Jetta, we still need strong leaders in the VFL for the development of the kids.

Strange that there is no time frame on Jesse, not even a minimum.

Hannan did looked pretty cooked last week, freshen him up to come back hopefully with a bang.

Never rated JKH , hasn't been too bad playing as an inside mid, alot better there than forward, but still think he is lacking in many areas, especially defensive.

Be really nice to win tomorrow.

JKH has been named in the back pocket in the VFL

Guess Goody told Plappy to sort his defensive deficiencies out.

Because he is still a kid.. Can't play through injury and can't tuck. Playing him last year killed us when we needed a presence at CHF! Here's hoping this is a game where Pedersen stands up and makes the AFL take notice. How good would a big bag of 5 be?

blunstone oval runs north south (like shitehad). anyone know if canberra oval is north/south or east/west?

if east/west the wind won't advantage any end unduly as the wind is mainly from the north but will still make conditions tricky

Yep pretty much North/South, slight orientation to the right if centre. Looks miserable (particularly definitely you are a sheep) a 2-3 wind advantage to the southern end.

Playing him this year killed us, no impact.

Hard to fathom that Corey Maynard hadn't played a game of footy in ten years prior to this season. And now he's playing an AFL game.

Given how far he has come in such a short time Corey is a very weird combination of a 26 y.o with some serious upside.

It is confirmed that Patton is out.

Again, so important that we manage to stop Lobb who was always going to be the biggest thread because of his size.

Ummm.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
