Watts has messed up everything he's been in, but he has been in a lot.

Playing well ... need some more scoreboard success.... a four goal to nil quarter would be nice to say the least

Not often I quote myself .... go Dees

And why stop at four !!

Great quarter. Port are off and we're not maximising our dominance, but they're off because of our pressure.Good to have some top class personnel back.

We're on like the Crows game in Adelaide.

To be fair @praha he is getting space. You can bloody tell he has been out for four weeks when he gets the ball though.

Absolute demolition. We should be 100 points up already. 15-2 in the clearances! They can't even get their hands on the ball! Keep this pressure up and we win comfrtoavly even if we run out of legs after the long trip last week.

Go dees!

Great qtr Max, Viney, Jeffy, Nibbler, Hibbo.

Watts working hard.

Trenners in several plays and holding his own really well.

Who had the wind that quarter

Some serious strange hospital handballs but at least we are winning.

ANB doing very well.

MAx is the man we all remember and love when he plays like this.

Hope he can keep the pace. Noticed he is struggling to get to hitouts but only cos hes everywhere.

Great quarter Inside 50's 17-8 and clearances : an amazing 15-2

Keep it up Dees

Lucky Port haven't got their kicking boots on but we deserve that lead if not more

Still need to lower the eyes a bit for mine. But I like the pressure and the intent thus far. Would like a bit more reward for effort from the umps!

Half-hearted efforts. The kind of thing he has be criticised for his whole career.

Max is back.

Great to have Viney and Tyson at the stoppages.

ANB buzzing around.

Powell Pepper can play.

Does anyone else laugh when watching the speed Oliver gets ball, makes a decision of where to send it too and then disposes of it. Breathtaking

Hes missed 4 weeks.

ANB - starred 1st qtr

warming up for joeboy

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
