And the Saints still rely on both of them, proving they are fools gold and a team going nowhere.

Also Callum Sinclair is gonna kick 10 goals on them.

Classic St.Failure.

Still think saints are capable of beating  top 8 sides, hope we don't get them on one of their "on"days.

Membery is a huge out for them especially with Bruce down on last year and Nick on the decline.

Sydney should be clear flag favourites.

I wish we had their composure, it's what sets them apart from us.

I'd like us to play them with a full team. Wouldn't be the game we saw the other week.

Plus a full list and not off 3 consecutive 6 day breaks. That match was always an uphill battle.

Saints proving to be mediocre to the extreme. I don't rate their list or youth at all, so it's heartening to see them continue to wallow in No Man's Land. Not sure I'm a fan of the alternative though (Sydney going above us on the ladder).

We would certainly be better, I think we play with more guts while they have the polish.

The worst part however would be how they still would shimmy and shake around our attempted tackles.

And Sinclair kicking 12.

Why don't you marry them, Clint?

Good week to have won, that's for sure.  If Richmond beat GWS we'll remain parked in 7th, where we started the round, with Sydney pulling ahead on percentage.  If we'd lost we'd be 8th and a game behind our main opponents, and a thrashing would have put us out of the 8.

One game separates 4th and 11th. It really is a nuts season.

Lets hope that Carringbush win tmrw. It is hard to type that.

Great night for Saints fans.

Their % and finals chances took another hit, and their Hawthorn pick fell another spot when they were convinced just  a few weeks ago it would be a top 3 pick at worst (currently #7).

Exactly....just having a look at the ladder we could have easily gone to 11th, and that could have had an effect on the team perhaps, esp going into next week. Will be interesting to see how GWS go today. Theyve only won 1 game out last 10 played at the G. Against us of course!

No they shouldn't, not yet. Who have they beaten? Yes they're a good side but the only good sides they have played in their 10 wins out 11 games were the Giants and us. Both teams at the time had significant injuries which could of quite easily reversed the result. 3 out of their next 4 weeks they face Hawks (MCG), Cats (Simmonds) and Crows (Adelaide oval), if they win those 3 then yes they deserve to be premiership favourites, if they lose those games the last 11 weeks counts for nothing. They would go into finals with a question mark hanging over them.

The Pies rolling the Eagles today would be really nice.

It is in Melbourne so its a 50/50 game.

Agreed, but it hurts cheering on the Pies.  It really does.

Rance wearing all jet black boots, what a show pony.

If GWS play like this in two weeks then we will already be 5 goals up by this stage.

Read my optimistic mind mate!

Toby Green just popped Rance in the gob. Could be nothing, could be 2 weeks with his priors.

I'd give him 3 votes and a car because it's Rance.

I'm not watching but there has been 20 plus free kicks in the first quarter, wtf is going on?

I'll need new surround sound with another quarter of whistling like that.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
