They gang tackled him and he got a free for in the back, so he got up off the ground and kicked the footy.  Pendlebury's take on it (in the interview with Jones) was that all it achieved was giving away his first touch.

Not disputing that they went after him.  Just disputing any assertion that it did them any good.

If anyone's to blame it was the Melbourne player who gave him the hospital handball.

Any chance Spencer plays?

Even I've abandoned this idea now! ?

I'd hoped Goodwin was foxing, but Spencer played the full match in the VFL yesterday. I think the dream of having a ruckman for this match is officially over.

Yeah I watched him in the game yesterday. Didn't do as well as I hoped. Weeds and Wagner did alright. Kent was disappointing

I thought Wagner was outstanding - a class well above VFL IMHO.

I like him as a player. Clever. Reads the play really well. Hes kicking hasnt been as good this year for some reason but he is a good kick. Love that he is a lefty

I read some have different views.

My view is that this is the most important games for us since 2006 semi final. If we win we turn at 6 and 5 in 6th place. With Gawn, Hogan (our two most important players) shortly back we set ourselves up not just for finals but a tilt at a top 4 finish.

Shall we lose, we again fail when favourites, this time coming off a 16 day break. Our opponents have played twice since we beat Gold Coast and have lost 3 of their best players in last weekends stirling victory over Carlton. This will be hard for them to cover.  We will be 5 and 6 in 11th place, with mental issues that will be difficult to overcome this season. It will be highly unlikely we make finals.

Confidence is everything in this game. As its been said it is indeed 90% between the ears.

This is a game we must win!

Predicting a 44 disposal, 11 clearance, 12 tackle, 2 goal masterclass from Clayton Oliver tomorrow in a 47 point Demon win.

We'll be sitting equal 5th if we win tomorrow, one game out of the top 4. What an opportunity.

I think the advantage this year like last is finishing in the bottom half of the 8.

Top 4 to me is a disadvantage.

They will close this loophole at the end of this season.

With the weeks break leading up to finals top 4 teams lose momentum when they can least afford it.

I'm not confident at all.

Gawn was huge the last 3 times against them. No Gawn plus Grundy's big step up in improvement will hurt.

And Bernie has killed them both ways. He's not the player he was, and hasn't been playing that role, can't see him being that damaging again.

Both teams have played some god awful footy at times this year, if it comes down best footy v best footy we win, but I haven't seen us do it enough to have any faith in it showing up tomorrow.

(If this post doesn't get us the win, nothing will)

Whatever the outcome, I hope 'Lizzie' is up early to watch it.

True, but equally a number of the younger players that are influential this year had little impact. Oliver was quiet both times against them. Hunt debuted first time around and had little impact both games. Salem didn't play QB.

Tracc only played QB, but did have a good game.

These are the sort of games he's made for, he's that sort of a player that can go up a gear in front of the big crowds.

Hope we see him pull out his strut after his 5th goal!

I'll let him pull out his strut after his 3rd at the 21 minute mark of the first quarter puts us 6 goals up!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
