You don't see a conflict here Biff?

Writing and laws developed by non-Western cultures, but "Humanity has advanced by all measure due to Western civilisation"

In terms of using those ideas internationally then my point stands.

Im not trying to prove the English invented the wheel.

You keep shifting your point around but good for you and your social conscience .

For me to extol the virtues of Western civilisation does not make me anti Aboriginal either .

I wasn't born in 1770.

You're the one that's shifting Biff.

You made assertions that were factually incorrect, then attempted to claim that you know it all along.

I think I've been quite consistent in my remarks. I suppose those someone who's contradicted themselves so blatantly as you have would have trouble understanding what 'consistent' actually means.

I agree that extolling the virtues of Western civilisation doesn't make you racist.

However, you seem blinded by those virtues to the point where you can't see any of its flaws or mistakes.

No confict at all.

Britons were speaking French in the 1200s.

The French spoke Latin.

The Italians spoke Greek.

So what.?

Do you think the British Empire was unusually cruel and destructive? If so how and compared to who?

There is no confict in pointing out that Sumeria invented maths and Newton advanced it.

What we know to be Greek may have been Phoenician .

Look through an old thread and I mentioned all this.Peter Dutton I believe.

Im not trying to tell you England invented language, the wheel or astrology.

Settle down .

You didn't win any non- racist points .

Sorry.

This thread is about the Manchester bombing. Like alot of recent terrorism the perpetrators did so in the name of Islam.

You seem incapable of discussing Islam without bringing up Christianity.

If you want to discuss George Pell, Catholicism, Christianity or white supremacy start a thread on it or find one that already exists and contribute to it.

Wrecker, don't get me stated on George Pell!

I reckon he was the Manchester Bomber anyway...

And may I ask wass ist das? Ein pudding from Yorkshire perhaps, a beer swilling whinger who still expects the colonies to pay for his beer, ah, yes, I have it now, the best of British is waging war on defenseless natives, the kind Churchill loved to see bombed to oblivion by napalm.

Or, is it cricket?

Dunno, cos they're pretty useless at it.

It took a German, Shane Warne, to demonstrate that.

It certainly ain't football unless you have a Russian linesman to pervert the laws of soccer, as happened in the World Cup Final in 1966.

Between you and I, Mr Biff, what astounds me is that most of the English speaking world is of German stock. The Poms are Anglo Saxons, the USA is apparently genetically 38% German, way more than the next gene pool and all I can deduce from that is that the Germans have got a bloody lot to answer for.

Without Germans we wouldn't have Bud,Schlitz and all those other woeful beers.Wurlitzer organs...I could go on.

The Germans aren't evil- you've been trained to believe they are.

The astoundingly low self esteem of Germans is known world wide.Except perhaps in the case of  Herr Warne.

They now think any kind of national pride is evil.

We must be careful not to jump to conclusions about this latest London Bridge attack(the second this year).

Our conclusions must not be jumped to.

They must be carefully managed by others more qualified than us to form those conclusions.

You argue over pathetic semantics ,misquote and deceive like a trained journalist.

Meanwhile Dieter brings up plainly false statistics actually created to confuse the issue of terrorism with white supremacy.

You are both a pair of weak willed apologist-attacking the messenger(me) while you stick your fingers in your ears saying "I'm not Listening".

The point you rammed home about the creation of law was irrelevant Choker-I was discussing Law records and Extensive Public documentation -the use of a written text .(Archives)

The law known and respected internationally was or is British in essence and practise.not Egyptian. No Conflict in noting this whatsoever.

You run around like a 2 year-old with "Biff said the poms invented law". Twit.

Cultural cringe is at the core of your being.

If you can't see the benefits of the rule of law, systems, admin and health western culture has bought you must be blind.

The alternative is to go back to the dark ages which is where you like to sit intellectually on this.

Too P!ss weak to admit there is a right and a wrong in this issue.

Or maybe you are happy for people to let bombs rip in a secular modern society .

Worse the fence sitting-you take taqiya to new levels and I wonder if you even know why you do it.

nice try but no cigar, diets

the poms are not anglo-saxon. the predominant dna is of the original british people there when the anglo saxons arrived. there are plenty of studies proving this

as for the 38% germanicity in the us, this just means that 38% of americans have some german blood, not that 38% of americans are predominately german

You don't seem to mind the bombs going off elsewhere, do you? Like Iraq, Vietnam, it's like you think the West has a god given right to just bomb the bejesus out of anyone they like, just get the likes of The Colon to lie to the United Nations about WMD, invent the Tonkin incident etc etc etc etc.

So that's Civilized, I presume.

Islamists love moronic left-wing appeasers.  They'd smile and thank you just before slitting your throat.

As for the moderates ?  How moderate are they?  It's hard to know.  Most don't condemn violence to the kafir because most are well aware the definition of Islam is to dominate.  Unbelievers must submit to Islam.

Over 80% of middle eastern Muslims believe in death to apostates.  Over 80% believe in stoning for adulterers.  A young girl was recently put to death for being raped.

Islam is the most vile and insidious political doctrine in the world.  Why any western civilisation would knowingly import more people from these backwater shitholes beggars belief.  Most Muslims don't enrich the country they go to.  They don't want to befriend you.  They don't want to break bread and drink wine with you.  And the odd ones that do are clearly not practising Muslims.

Child brides, stonings, veiling, death or imprisonment to gays, female genital mutilation, honour killings, etc.  What a culturally enriched doctrine.  Some drink camel [censored].  And did you know you can shag a goat as long as you kill it afterwards ?   Presumably so you don't have the shame of ever having to look them in the eye again.

1400 years of breeding with your 13 year old first cousin will do that.

Senator Sam Dastyari nearly caught in todays London attack.

Unelected Senate swill, sitting with British Labour (whoever is still left) no doubt discussing their political future or lack thereof when a real terrorist attack occurs as a DIRECT result of Lefty immigration policy.

No acts of bravery from Sam-as expected.

Why "Lefty"?

Immigration has been supported by both parties for decades. If anything, the right-wing parties - the parties of big business  - support it more because it enables them to keep wages down while the profits go up.

Comment about Dastyari a bit below the belt.

Not for a branch stacker that claims to be a Muslim when it suits him.

I read British press (nearly all of it,good and bad).Corbyn is done there.Hes a corpse with a copy of the communist manifesto.

Dastyari even tries to get political mileage from an adventure park disaster.

On Q and A he was a self promoting [censored].

In this situation his hypocrisy is fully played out.

Zero respect.

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
