GAMEDAY - Round 7

Oliver’s could refuse to kick another ball in his life and he’d still be an A-grade AFL player.

Our kick to handball ratio is currently 0.73 lol.....our worst for the year. In all matches we have won this year we have averaged approx 1.3

In our losses

1.17 vs the Dockers

1.08 vs the Tiges

Never even looked like going through.  At least he got himself in a position to kick it.

Another 4 please jhunt!

Still not really sure why JKH is in this side, but whatever...

Cmon boys!! We can run over the top of them in the last

Faaarrrkk...Garlett!!!!

Jeffy!!

Where the hell has this been?  Hunt forward and Trac into the middle have been great moves so far.

Garlett you ripper! Fast ball movement and hard hitting contests is the Melbourne brand and it’s finally bloody working!

Why do our forwards keep sitting behind the defenders?

Especially when the ball is won in congestion from the middle....get in front Hogan under this scenario!!

And just like that thanks umps

Go jeffy

JKH grrrrr. Kent must play next week. 0 tackles.

Need Watts to get into the game too. Only 8 touches. But looking much better

Trac. Brilliant.

Who was it before who said we will get in front and then lose 3 with minutes to go.

Made me laugh at least.

I hate being a Melbourne supporter. Couldn't hit the side of a barn for 1 hour, and now  we kick multiple in a row.

Its clear the umpires simply want Hawthorn to win.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
