Excuse me? Trolling? Again? Have never trolled. Don't plan on it. Check your facts before you accuse posters, and show a little respect.

And no, they made the point in the program that they were dwelling on two separate players, and that it was vaguely comical. One with the surname Oliver and one with the surname Wines. Pretty much all their texts apparently were based around people who couldn't believe neither were on the ground in their starting AA midfield.

Here's a little fundamental about the development of language for you. People don't always communicate in a way that both parties enjoy or understand. The blame doesn't always lie with the person that conceives the wording. Sometimes, often in fact, the listener/reader is just a dingbat who either can't understand plain English, or refuses to.

Here's another fundamental for you. Check your facts before you go off half cocked.

My sincere apologies Dappa Dan. I certainly didn't intend to offend. I was playfully referring to the chaos it caused when you referred to Oscar MacDonald as 'Ozzie' in a previous thread. Ironic, as part of that mock-rant spoke of effective communication and I'm afraid I failed miserably in having my tone understood. I don't think you're a troll and I'm sorry again to have upset you.

Classy post Sku. And I think maybe a first in demonland.

And yeah, I didn't quite see the playful tone. Maybe I'm just a bit of a dingbat myself. In any case...

How good is Clarry!

Not at all. I read it again just now and it came off as very harsh indeed. And apparently I'm writer by trade. It's time I learned how to use that cheeky Demon emoticon.

Surely it can't be that bad. lol

To direct it back on topic, the numbers this kid is getting in his second year is phenomenal. Put him in a Collingwood, Essendon, or Richmond top and I reckon he'd be the talk of the town. Personally I'm quite happy for him to keep flying under the radar a bit.

I would, but I'm afraid that Clarry would know my precise whereabouts and my girlfriend will find out.

Tried that nothing shows up

Along with the Oliver article, theres another article on the HeraldSun website comparing Christian Petracca to the greats of the game.

I guess the lid is off.

We could have another Greg Williams or Sam  Mitchell with Clarrie.

I can't believe the quickness of his reflexes, and the awareness of his team mates' whereabouts.

He can take a mark and kick well too, but those creative hand passes in close or at a distance are the hallmark.

We've gone for years without genuine stars.

We might have four by 2018. Oliver ,Hunt, Hogan and Petracca.

Could Frost be up there, too?,and wouldn't it be great if Weideman develops as hoped.

For decades we've had to worry about opposition stars. Soon they'll have to worry about ours.

( like '94 when we had Jako, Stinga, Lyon, Schwarta and Charles)

By the way, most sides would love to have Tommy Mac back there, and I have high hopes for Oscar.

It's getting very exciting.

You forgot our All Australian ruckman.

Also our new Co-Captain.

Oh and if Jack Watts can continue his improvement...

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
