The limited list allowed to train in the first couple of weeks of the preseason will be back in action this morning at Gosch's Paddock at 9.30am.

Things remain at a low key at present but the observations of those who can make it out to the Paddock are, as usual, most welcome.

Work was productive for a while...And now begins the constant refreshing throughout the morning awaiting live reports of houses being trained down and bodies being bulked up....

I'm heading in for a look. First time I've ever been to a training so looking forward to it. Doubt I'll be able to report much on individuals, I battle to tell the players apart even when they're wearing numbers on game day

You forgot the ones who came back all flabby.

Have tried to take a panorama photo of the ground. Had to shrink it to upload it, hopefully the quality isn't too cruddy

I get that we need to get fitter and need more endurance  - but running until we topple over the end of the earth is a little too much

Warmup was kicking soccer balls. Then some short kicking

Tommy Mac is hanging out with the warmup group, he's not in the training kit, just in a pair of boardies and a tshirt. Like I said I'm useless with recognising players so I won't have heaps to say individually. Can see big Spencil out there and Nev, not sure how many other older ones are out

I love training reports. How is Sylvia going? Is this the break out year?

Watching the rehab group do short leads and kicks. Mitch King's kicking is pretty darn average, 25, 30m kicks to a soft lead out in front and he's maybe hitting the target 1 out of 5

Have had to ask Saty who a fair few of them are. Been running lots of laps. I think it's Bugg (don't quote me though) who has been at the front a lot

Thanks, Redbeard.  But, I'm confused.  WHO has been running lots of laps?  You?  Saty?  The players...?

I think that's a wrap. Sorry I don't have too much to say, reporting isn't my forte and being this is the first training I've ever been to I can't compare it to anything. Looks like they might be interviewing Gus for the DeeTV so might see that online layer today

LOL.  The bung wing might explain the "interesting" perspective in that photo of the ground!  Get better soon, mate!

Have you noticed if they speed up when running past Saty?

Curious.

Redbeard's helpful advice that Satyr was there tells us two things:

We should anticipate a Satyr update later today and this thread will now reach at least 8 pages as Satyr's posting generates queries and comments mixed with a soupcon of derision.
