GWS is freaking the power clubs on the slide, right out.  The cats & now the squawks can see the writing on the wall.  Its over !  And you both have a lot of catching up to do.

 

As for us, Mfc,  we still have a lot of learning to do.  Our players & club, in being hard at it enough, still.  We are on the write path, but we need these types like Jordan Lewis to help us completely get off our old pathways of the Mcc ilk.

I would take what Fev said with a pinch of salt (remember Karl Langdon and Hogan), but the fact he has said it with such conviction fills me with hope. As a former player and media performer, there's a fair chance he'd be friends with Pickering or Lewis himself.

Lewis i think will play a good amount of half forward, he's done that with the Hawks and been quite dangerous, similiar ish to Brad Green at the end of his career

Fevola didn't say much that was revolutionary, as faultydet (I think) said, he pretty much just covered everything that's been said on here and elsewhere.  I did love the line about Melbourne "being unsure if it was real or not" - that moment where someone's told you something and right up until it happens, you're stopping every five minutes going "nah really, you're not taking the piss are you? Seriously?" :D

Usually pace is more important at either end of the ground, but less so in the midfield (depending on the composition). I'd imagine that Lewis would play more or less as a permanent midfielder, only spending time forward if he's resting there. I imagine that it would be Bernie likely to play at half back more often as a distributor.

We need more goal-kicking mids though? Bernie seems to have a more intuitive goal sense than D sense, that he showcased in 2015 and went down back this year because we had no other option?

Don't forget that this guy is a goalkicker too...very handy half-forward who can take a grab.  So he's not just a one paced midfielder....he's definitely got 2 good years in him, 3 might be a stretch but he'll be great value for us.  Very confident this will get done.

According to Quartermaine its a three year deal and the hold up is the picks involved.

We shouldn't have to give up any pick or picks to get him, they should do the right thing and let him walk, much the same way we let Fitzy walk to them. 

They wanted him out and all the crap about him being a required player is just that, it's damage control to make it look like they didn't shove him out the door, but they want to try to get something out go their eff up. What did we get from them when Bruce took the trip over there, what difference is there between this and that?

They expect to get whoever they want, irrespective whether the player is under contract or not, but they don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot.

Hope we get him and hope we pound them next year and Lewis stars.
