GAMEDAY - Round 16

Kent's having a ripper night. What a weird time to suddenly up your work ethic like he has. Personally, I'd pick somewhere other than a moist 30 degree Darwin climate to do that.

Kent u beauty.

Watts u beauty.

I bet Ross Lyson is going to try his best to make this game as ugly as possible.

That's all he knows.

Gee Watts gets up there in the ruck doesn't he.

So Bernie Vince is still out there, but running at about 10% capacity because of that leg injury.

Might be an idea to play him in the forward line and move someone else into the middle, try to protect him from further injury.

Sounds like a crack of a goal from Kent. He's had an up and down year but for the most part he has made some great strides.

Commentators keep rabbiting on about big announcement at half time re MFC future plans for Darwin.  Sounds like we will be continuing to go there.  Bugger.

The Darwin Demons. We're relocating there as its so much closer to China.

Jeffy yet to get a touch?

Love Mitch White.

He's been excellent so far.  Very calm under rpessure.

How good is Mitch White? Can't believe it's taken him this long to get another crack.

Two right footers getting to that side. Center it.

2 kicks

Matt Jones. I know everyone makes mistakes but I just could rip my hair out sometimes with his turnovers.

Should be up by 10 goals

This game is a good reminder why Grimes and M Jones are VFL level players

Cheers Matt Jones

Very soft free kick for Pav.  It's a shame too as they haven't even looked like scoring, they are just flooding the back half.

U owe is a goal Jones.

Easy pass and farted it up.

Feels like we could be further up?

Not against a Ross Lyon team.

I hate that man with a passion

Tough call on White.

A Matt Jones special there... and then he turns it over in the back half as well.  Oh dear.

Petracca did just as badly from exactly the same position. Didn't turn it over in the backline though.

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
