Yeah middy is my dad

where is Single Malt.. an unmarried man

I'm sticking with my pre-season estimate of 11 wins, which means 7 more from the remaining 15

our draw is much tougher from here on plus we've had a pretty sweet injury run

Great Effort MM.  Mine is 12, a great age!

It is one of those impossible questions, for us anyway.

Even as far back as the good old days; in 2006 we managed to cost ourselves a top-4 finish by losing to Carlton twice - we were an outright majority of their wins for the season!

But don't worry, anyone we don't beat this year, we'll sort out next year. ;)

And what sort of house do you live in Malt family?

Sympathy.

But, on topic, in the "Can we make the 8..." thread I nominated Brisbane at the 'G, Port in Alice Springs, Collingwood QB, Suns at the 'G, Freo in Darwin if they are sufficiently demoralised by then, and Carlton at the 'G as ones we should believe will be wins. I felt St Kilda seemed like an 8-point game: if we won, you could think the return match in Rd 17 at the same venue becomes similarly winable, with possibly the reverse being the case if we lose. Which, since then, we did. But now I think we're less fragile for that return. So add St Kilda Part II as a possible.

The remaining 9 games were Suns on The Coast, Dogs, Hawks (twice!!) and Crows at the 'G, Swans at the other 'G, the other Coast in the west, Port in Adelaide and Geelong at Kardinia Park, and thought the other most possibles were Port or maybe one of the Suns, Dogs or Adelaide games. We've now achieved the Suns game so my possibles now represent 4 games: the St Kilda return, Port in Adelaide, the Dogs next week (BIG game) and Adelaide at home. So my fortune-tell was between 11 (more likely) and 15 (less likely) wins leading into a mouthwatering Round 23 at Kardinia Park.

Mate of mine sent me this. Reckons it is still technically possible.

We can beat anyone

We can also lose to anyone

And isn't this progress? Remember when we would brace ourselves for a big loss every week? Urgh.

I've said for quite some time that we'll win between 10-12 games. We're tracking well to hit that. Hoping we don't peter out at the back end, but have an unfunny feeling we might. We've still got a very young side and the 23 week season might just take its toll.

Still, I haven't been this excited about a season since I was in high school in the mid 2000s. I'd legitimately forgotten what it was like to be excited for the remaining rounds at this time of year. And as you say, HH, it's good going into every week knowing we can push anyone. That's what makes the hiccups (although occasionally expected) all the more frustrating.
