Trade Radio Discussion

The Kennedy deal is holding it up

Still negotiating.

Great! With Adelaide officials?

Trade radio saying the Howe deal is getting close

Trade Radio - Howe deal a good chance to get done before Treloar deal.

Well, if the team offering silver cannot get him to agree - we won't get silver.

He can veto any and all trades, as any player can.

Well so be it.

Aish may want to go to pies, but his club says the offer doesn't stack up.

They would rather take the North deal which has Bastinac attached.

They are quite prepared to let him slide through to the Draft and take pot luck.

What would Howe do if he was allowed to go in the draft and be picked by anyone?

It'll be a second rounder and Kennedy for Howe I think. I'm only speculating on that though as I can't see other ways for it to get done.

ask for the brown corduroys ??

Which Howe deal? Gold coast swap, or Colonwood MEGAdeal

Didn't say. Alluded to that Howe deal likely to get done (to Coll) before Treloar deal (to Collingwood). That's all. No picks or shenanigans discussed.

Not stated at this stage.

Just a thought

Out Howe & Toumpas

In Kennedy, pick 28 & pick 29

(Part of a deal with seedsman to Adelaide, collingwood , port and dees) maybe some late swap of picks aswell

Yeah but then at least in a few years Jesse will have a mate- what can we do now? There's no guarantee we can draft one in and our war chest might as well be filled with Monopoly money.

Yes, but in Hogan's Forwardline - you don't need to be a world beater - there is one there already.

Any player in there would be role players - I wouldn't go out of my way to spend a top 6 pick on role players...

I would try and get the best mid they can get their hands on. Maybe that's what they see with ND3 in that deal with GC.

Do you think he may like it. The slide through to the Hawks.?

Port and Norf. were poking their nose into things.

I think we will be run out of time by C,wood and panic into accepting Kennedy for Howe a bum deal

Deal will be completed tomorrow

I hope it's good news.

I really feel like our trade period hinges on this one. Howe and pick 6 are the only real currency we have. I hope we've managed to get a good deal.

Pretty much, looking like its

Collingwood lose Seedsman (Adel), Kennedy (Melb) and 26 (Melb)

Gain Howe and 28

Adelaide lose 28 (Coll) and gain Seedsman

Port Adelaide gain Toumpas (Melb) and pick 62 (melb) and lose 29 and 49 (Melb)

Melbourne gain lose Toumpas (port) and Howe (Coll) and pick 62 (Port)

and gain pick 29,26,49 and Ben Kennedy

Clearly we come out winners, but it seems pretty fair IMO, everyone wins

26,29,49 for pick 8?

not sure why Port would do that

Your opinion, trade radio speculation or fact? 29 and 49 for Toumpas is laughable.

not sure why Port would do that

Ask why after it's done...

I think that is pretty balanced although I'd say we are stealing pick 49 which doesn't really need to be involved.

If that is the case, from a list pov we effectively swap Howe for Melksham, and get Kennedy, picks 29 and 49 for Toumpas. Which is a win overall.

Patrick has spoken very well and I'm better for understanding him as a person for listening and tuning in.

For those of you who have or haven't travelled through Moggs Creek, it's a great spot despite no shops, milk bars or pubs. If you've travelled down the Great Ocean Rd, Moggs Creek is only a few kms past Aireys Inlet. In fact, if you blink you might well miss it if travelling down the coastline. Beautiful part of the world, particularly on a day like today with blueskies. Hard to believe a star of the AFL spent his childhood there. He and his extended family originate from Moggs Creek. I dare say the Dangerfield's would have a fair slice of Moggs Creeks population.

I can hear Banjo music.....................

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
