Why unfortunately?

He's very damaging with the ball in his hands AND he runs to space and creates a mismatch.

Nothing wrong with that.

Because in modern AFL footy if all you can do is capitalise on uncontested footy you're as useful as a cold pie.

There's a reason he was dropped twice in his 7th year and there's a reason he finished 18th in the B&F despite playing 20 games. The coaches don't value this "damaging" game you speak of. It clearly excites you, but not them. Or me.

I have been a massive Jack Watts supporter up until last years game in Adealide when he didn't crash the pack. Luckily Hogan kicked the goal but i thought that if he doesn't get it by now he never will.

This year when the offer of the player on the membership cards came out i thought about it for a while and decided to switch to the Hulk. He's the future.

Jack unless he pulls out a blinder of a year...is a hangover of the past.

Many players have forged sensational careers from being the finishers in their team.

He was dropped, I get that - but that's because he's finally been coached properly.

And, as I've stipulated before, pre Roos' era coaching team didn't excite me at all.

But you'll find that those "finishers" regularly influence games of footy.

Watts has rarely influenced any game in his 100+.

He can't have an 'influence' in all of them - he has to do his role - if he doesn't, he'll be at Casey or 'injured'

I think he's played some terrific games where he's been very steady and yes, sometimes very influential.

He's a clever footballer and will respond to his coaches in his third year.

Neeld started out weeding the soft, boy club culture of the club.

That's why I supported him.

But, I understand why you might not get that.
