2015 FINALS

For crying out loud, get your [censored] together Freo. I'm sick to death of bloody Hawthorn EVERY YEAR! SJLE GALSKHJ ;SDLH

I despise the message it will send to players if types like Lake and Frawley can continue to just waltz straight into a premiership after "doing their time" at the lowly clubs.

Great post. So true.

Have always been a bit suspicious of free kick stats.

Was reading 9-2 early in second, I posted about it then. Now reads 9-7 at half time.

Lewis got a holding the man free late in second, pretty sure there was another Hawks free in there, but not recorded in stats...

Umpires absolutely overawed by the occasion and crowd. Appalling decisions.

Freo are getting the ball but butchering it, dropping marks, kicking over leading players heads, no giving first option, handballing 7 times in close to stationary targets...every mistake that would help even Melbourne beat them. Fixable and Hawthorn are ahead because oof Freo errors.

Please, let someone run through Hodge, Mitchell and Lewis.... pppllleeeaaassseee. Can't stand their cockiness and smirking.

While they are at it, run through Frawley too.

Matt Stevic cheats for Hawthorn every time.

Mayne, Griffin and Mzungu are Fremantle's Bail, Terlich and Fitzpatrick.

I'd almost prefer Bail, Terlich and Fitzpatrick.

That is the difference Freo have 4 or 5 not up to it and their super weapon Fyfe is hobbled.

The usual massive home ground umpiring bias is totally reversed clearly the AFL do not want an all WA GF and have instructed the maggots to ensure that.

Lack of HTB against Mitchell a perfect illustration of how one sided the umpiring has been.

Gusty stuff from Freo this. Really thought the Hawks would run away with it early.

They still will.

How many times are Hawks going to drop (or throw) ball till they get pinged.

Rioli goals after Hale drops it.

A drop is different to a throw, did they have prior opportunity when they dropped it?

The (just joking) "Integrity Folk" at AFL will look at it and say "no case to answer"

But seriously we couldn't have an all WA GF - just wouldn't do.

Ps. The game is being grossly over umpired.

Another Hawthorn premiership coming up.

Seemed pretty obvious weeks ago. What a bloody snore this season has become.

And, as Lamashtu said earlier, terrible for the weaker clubs.

Zzzzzz

Who will bother watching the gf? Watch that walking smirk Hodge strutting around. Erk. Reminds me of one of the roosters in my yard.

No 50 when the hawk comes in on the mark from behind? Would have been paid the other way

I'd almost prefer Bail, Terlich and Fitzpatrick.

Bail and Fitzpatrick have kicked important goals this quarter.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
