What a moron Curnow is

Clayton Oliver would never do something like that :)

Even if he did, Olisik would have us believe that Oliver had the ability to magically control his BAC levels through sheer willpower!

lol

Not saying he willingly gave himself a police record, more likely certain people new what he was going to be up to and had a hand and it playing out the way it did.

Surely you're joking. I hope so

really, you expect us to believe that without a skerrick of information to support it

interesting isn't it. he may not have even had a sniff of alcohol, waited for the cop car & then proceed thru.... the little Darling?

If he hadn't of had any alcohol then he wouldn't have spent the night in the cells. That's the result of being drunk in a public place, the two years loss of licence will be the result of failing to blow.

Hope he gets an Uber App for the next 2 years to get to training and matches!

I had him in the mix! But no way known would I take him now! not with pick 1 or 100.

Poor decision making starts early and leopards don't change spots easily.

A BIG NO FROM ME!

Not sure why we are all hot and bother I don't think we were going to take him anyway.

Looks like Parish or the Weid to me, essendrug will take him as dc said earlier he will fit in perfectly.

Sorry mate, no evidence needed here just a set of eyes & ears, a nose and other non commonly recognized senses.

When I read your post I thought [censored], please don't tell me half of Demonland are in on this. I suppose it's possible clubs have insiders masquerading as regular posters on here...surely not??

Might be the case,so long as this isn't Carlton's way to get him to drop from the Bombers 4 or 5 which could adversely affect our pick at 7. Someone else mentioned the connection to his brother at Carl potentially being a motive for all of this.

This will be a footnote in his story....

Headline in 2021 paper

Pick45 Curnow was a steal in the draft because of some questions about his decision making......How did he ever fall so far in the draft?

my friend you are not making much sense

if your claim is based on the "vibe" then say so

else more info please

There's a difference between "driving drunk" and driving after having a drink (1 or 2). He's a P Plater, so he's needs to blow .00. Probably thought by removing the P's that he could get away it. Refusing to blow is hard to justify.

Good point, we also don't know the circumstances. Was he drunk? Did he have alcohol in his system? Did he have several drinks hours earlier and would have blown .00 anyway but tried to stall for extra time for the alcohol to go out of his system (even if unnecessary).

I don't know but again, if the club was set on him it would be ridiculous to turn him down on the basis of this. I'd be at least discussing it with the leadership group to get their views.

Fair enoigh and I see your point, but did your friend refuse a test from the Police?

That for me is crossing a big line. I actually don't think it'll effect his draft position at all, but it speaks to a complete disregard for authority and the safety of others.

Or maybe he [censored] himself knowing it would blow up in the media if he tested positive for booze and knowing it could affect his chances on Tuesday and his entire future career...

That has happened anyway but in the heat of the moment he may probably didn't really think this through properly, he just [censored] himself.

Good Doctor I dont think one stays at Her Majesty's if not affected and/or worse for wear ?

In good spin practice, even now we are only being told what suits them at this juncture.

you're right that he didn't think it through

though later on at the station he would have been offered another chance at a breath test and or a blood test

did he refuse those opportunities too?

presumably he did, as he was detained till 6am which was the max allowable 3 hour detention

we are yet to see exactly what charges the police will be pressing

I'm making plenty of sense... I'm just not easily suckered in.

This crap happens every year in varying degrees and this year is no different...it's all part of the game and the clubs spare no expense to get what they want.

This goes beyond vibe, this is what I would call a "Blind Freddie" Brock McLean type of knowing.

i thought as much

I doubt he'll get 2 years suspension if it's his first offence.

That is the penalty for refuse a test.

No joke - I can confirm that I have the blinkers well and truly taken off over here.

Ooooh k. I suppose you think 9/11 was a CIA conspiracy and the Yanks didn't actually land on the moon.

Sheez.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
