Want to kick off a thread to discuss any players which are delisted/retired this year.

Good place to r eminence of the service they paid to the club. No retirees or delisted yet however we are just over a month away from the end of our season.

Roos gives some clues on list changes:

1. In terms of how many list changes will occur at the end of the season, Roos said: “I wouldn’t have thought as many as the last couple, but having said that, I really haven’t sat down and had a close look at it.”

2. I am paraphasing but he also says that if rotations and the sub change There’s no point bringing guys in that can’t run.

Those should help our DL predictions!

Well, I think most of us have been saying for a while that it will be 6-8 list changes, rather than 12 or so.

Terlich, McKenzie, Bail, M Jones (probably), Toumpas (traded), Howe. Grimes and Fitzpatrick could be gone too.

Don't forget Jamar.

I don't get the lack of love for Fitpatrick, he is about the same age as Gawn and has also had some health issues. I would give him another year. His upside cloud be huge.

I don't get the love for Fitzy.. He is unorthodox. Is not in our best 6 forwards, and yes that does include Dawes, and is certainly not in our best 6 backs.

I would be very surprised if another team was interested in him as well. He is simply NO GOOD

I would give Fitzy another year too. I was just outlining who I think will go.

And yes. I was forgetting Jamar too.

How many would you turnover?.

Delist - Terlich, Bail, M Jones, McKenzie, Mitchie

Trade - Jamar, Toumpas, Grimes, Howe, Spencer

That's ten. I'm guessing six out.

What do you do with Dawes, Heritier, Spencer and Crossy?

I rank Fitzy in our top 30 players (for next year) and believe he will improve.

Edit: Added (for next year)

It would be an expensive exercise to pay out all those players with contracts for next year.

"No good" is a bit harsh, he's a decent player, but definitely not best 22 atm.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
