If the players can stick to the same game plan as last week, a win will ensue.

The Saints move through the corridor, just like the Lions tried to last week.

The boys will choke the passage, thus forcing a wide path, a more contested ball.

I'm going to grab a bit of that 1.92 whilst I can - easy win.

Ive put us in the north/Richmond basket when it comes to betting. No large head to head bets. Just take them each way in a small priced multi. I cannot pick those three teams.

For what's it worth I think Freo will beat Richmond come Saturday. It may not be pretty but they will get the job done. There's two at $1.90 to get things started.

I'm driving 1400 km to see us win, so nothing less than a win is acceptable. Dees by a couple of goals, I reckon

Mate I hope they win cause it will be a hell of drive back home if the result is the same or similar to the last time we played these plicks.

For some time I have considered your pilgrimages to see the Dees the sign of a true Martyr.

But Sunday your devotion will be rewarded by a single point win .

DeeOF please tell me where are you driving from? I assume you are driving in a fairly straight line from a long way away and not driving in circles locally. Just checking!

Canberra I believe from past comments.

Canberra Redleg. Last game I attended at the G was vs the Bullies, so maybe my being there will be a good omen ........ but on the other hand, the closest we have been in the previous 5 years was the draw against the Swans in R1 2011.

I'd go with Grimes, Harmes, and then two of Michie, Stretch and ANB, one of whom to be the sub.

Can anyone confirm that our last home game against St Kilda was round 5 2012? So much for a balanced draw.

Yep, correct.

Other 'quirks': last home game against Adelaide was round 22 2012. Last home game against Carlton was Round 10 2011. Last home game against Essendon was Round 15 2010 (and the one before that was Round 1 2005).

Straight line Earl, but being a Dees member, I sometimes feel like I've been driving around in ever-decreasing circles for a decade. Hopefully the Saints make it our first back-to-back win for eons!

I'd like to see:

IC: Grimes, Harmes, Michie, Stretch (Sub)

I think Stretch is the type of player that can come on at 3qt and have an impact, while I'd like to see Michie and Grimes given a run from the start of the match. ANB out for a rest as his form has dropped over the past couple of weeks. Keep Harmes in as I thought he showed plenty last week and earned another match. Jamar is unlucky, but he's only going to come in if another tall comes out.

You are a better man than me Gunga Din. I've done the drive far too many times, flying when you factor in both cost and time for me is a far better option now ( and while its all dual carriageway now, the Hume highway at night with all those B doubles is a frightening prospect). Mind you if time wasn't an issue I'd take a couple of days to drive back and stop off at Beechworth on the way home just to go to the bakery...Mmmm pastry!

It absolutely baffles me that this is a team we haven't beaten since 2006, when we were in the finals!!!

Last year it felt like we did everything we could to lose to them, this year at Etihad it felt like they did everything they could to lose to us but they still came out in front. It's time. They are on our level, they are on our ground, if Saint Nick plays he will be hampered and they still heavily rely on him. This is a golden opportunity for us to knock two milestones down in one go; Saints and winning two on the trot.

Viney is the sort of player I expect to back up his comments, it's the rest of the team I'm more concerned with.

None. It's the heart talking, not the head.

It is sad when we are reduced to both our reasoning's.

However this time last year I would have said the Saints easy.

So in some sort of strange way that must mean we are now competitive with the saints.

Agree with how cringe worthy the Viney comments were. The last quarter of that game was played in their half so the Dees would have snatched it. I wish the players would just shut up and let their actions on the field do the talking.

I'll be shattered if we can't beat St Kilda at the 'G with Riewoldt on one leg.

Honestly, they went out and got the $350k a year coach. We got the $1.5m one.

They have taken kids, kids and more kids and we've gone a little bit older with the likes of Vince and Lumumba, and even went for Tyson who'd been in the AFL system for a couple of years.

These are the games where these players really have to deliver. These are the games we recruited them for.
