GAME DAY - Round 15

3.8 this is [censored] disgusting

We are making Hurley look like a really good player

The Biz is on fire!!

Where would we be without Vince...

Have no confidence we can win this game. Missing too many shots at goal and I think its gonna come back and bite us the ass

We are making Hurley look like a really good player

He is a good player.

Second best key defender after Rance.

If the rain holds off we'll win.

Never thought I would see a team kick in worse than us

Time for our leaders to step up.

And time for Roos to become a little more than so bleedingly predictable in the coaches box.

Vince with 21 touches

Jones with 17

What would we do if we lost one of them?

3.9 just sucks

Edited by Young Dee

This will end up an inverse of last year's result. Essendon dominate everything except the scoreboard but end up losing by a point.

This year it's our turn.

Have to be better than that. The errors and poor decision-making is killing us. Pathetic first half.

Any other club would be up by 40+ points vs Essendon right now

Pathetic really

Chris Dawes throwing a player without the ball down to the ground.

Legit 50. Dumb Dawes.

It should have been a free against for interfering with a player on the mark.

Hogan 2 shockers in a row. Isn't getting near it.

Disappointing efforts by the forwards. Really poor.

The kick going foward is a problem with their backs dropping of . They move it well by hand the bombers . Good fight at the end of that quater , go the dees .

Bloody frustrating game so far. Should be 3 goals up on them.

Harmes hands in close are very very good.

You're starting to worry me 'Gorgoroth', for the 2nd time this weekend was about to say exactly the same thing.

He is a step up from a few of the others that have gone back to Casey.

I'm saving judgement for the second half.

Shocking half.

Big second half for Roos and the players.

I expect to break away. That would show progress.

Still hopeful, Gawn is playing another blinder (minus the miss shot).

Armchair ride for Vince, Tyson, Jones and Viney. Should see us home.

Let see.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
