The chase and tackle his highlight of the night, last week he didn't look like even thinking about laying a tackle.

He still can't kick for goal further than about 35 metres out which a big concern. His kicking action just has no power to it.

Wow!

he was our best player.

Open your fuggin eyes!!

Club tried to trade him at the end of last year and it didn’t sit well with him.

Glad he’s started this year so well. Hopefully all wounds have healed.

Call whatever you want.

From a current player and close friend’s mouth.

Bring out the torches and pitch forks..

I don’t know the reasons behind that, but that’s what I understand.

He has some things he needs to work through though...

No, but anyway.

Don’t know why I bother with this joint. Provide some info and get shot down.

Yeah Wiseblood, it’s just a load of crap. Appreciate you’re uninformed input into what I had to say.

Sorry B, thought you might be having a joke, it could be true, just a bit odd it comes out now.

I've heard otherwise.

Good enough?

I’ve been umming and ahing whether to say anything for about 4 weeks now.

Anyway make of it what you will. I’m not trying to stir up controversy.

I couldn’t care less personally.

This came from a current player...maybe your info is better than mine. Congrats.

Can I ask you why you’d bother to even raise such an item in round 2 of the following season?

As previously stated I only heard this approx 4 to 6 weeks ago and was reluctant to post it.

Anyway, I have now....as I said make of that what you will.

It simply goes against everything that has been said, or even intimated.  Resigning to the Dees, the issues and support last year, what he has said, was the coach has said.  He was untradable last year, confirmed by the Club and Jesse.

it is difficult to marry that up with ‘a current player said ‘.  Unfortunately, as honest as you may want to appear, it looks like an April fools troll.

what can you offer to substantiate your claim?

There’s no way I believe the club put him on the trade table, especially after the horror year he endured. If Hogan requested a trade it would have been made public. If we put Hogan up for trade, a deal would have absolutely been done with Fremantle of West Coast. Nothing personal Beetle, you may well have been provided information. I just question the validity of it.

I can’t offer anything more, with the risk of the player away, which I won’t.

Im clearly a troll and have been working up to this post in my 11 years of membership.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
