This young fella is a gun. I've never seen a (2nd year) but effectively a first year player show so much, so much love for the contest with the skill to match.

How do we keep this bloke?

I think its safe to say he was worth the wait

Best 4 game, 20 year old key forward I have ever seen

13 possessions, 10 score involvements.

O.M.G.

He's just desperate to lead as well, which is fantastic for such a young bloke. Loves responsibility.

He copped Tahlia in game 3 and rance in game 4 haha hasn't taken long

Generational player. God.

Looking like he'll kick 40+ goals in his first season. Missing 2014 may've been a blessing in disguise. He's monstering the best key backs in the AFL at the moment.

Rising star nomination chance maybe? Nah probably go to a young mid who piles up 20 odd possessions in a big win.

Simple - we keep playing like that

He has arrived....confidence growing each game...Carey like.

Does anyone know the record for most goals kicked by first/second year player? - Cameron?

2 goals a game is ok, but the really good forwards, like Carey, averaged 2.67 goals a game.

It's because he's no good.

*KEEP A LID ON IT*

Love him, love him, love him

Just watching the WA after footy program with the usual muppets which includes Adrian Barrett talk about Hogan. Asked if someone like Lachie Neal would be sufficient compensation to get Hogan back to Freo, they said no - no chance.

Anyone that went and saw him play in the NAB Cup at Etihad, in February 2013, would have known we had a serious player on our hands.

But for him to be monstering the best key defender in the game after four games is something else.

Who would win? Hogan vs Tommy Mac. Let's hope we never have to find out. :)

Coleman kicked 100 in his first season

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
