GAME DAY, ROUND 3, 2015

The commentators go mental for Walker whenever the ball lands in the Crows 50. Even if he's no where near it.

Melbourne looking like it's about to be GWS'd again. Lame.

Dawes to Tex...Howe up forward. Free up Tmac

Common Roos & Co....wakey wakey

I would have taken Robinson just to crack skulls and the effort dee.

Not the smartest tool in the shed or the most skillfull footballer i've seen. But his scrapping/pressure/tackles and general take no prisoners approach can do amazing things to team mates playing around you. Some grow an extra leg with a few tough nutz around like that. Could have shared the duties on Danger a little today as well.

Cross Jones and Robinson would have be a real hard pack for anyone to deal with rotating through the middle.

would prefer someone who is skilled & also has a dip, Henderson plays either ends tall & can chip-in in the ruck, & they went after Jaksch, so Henderson may like a change by years end?

Yarran has the skills watts has by foot, plus more run & energy & just as hard or harder?

& alas, robibson gas gone up Nth....

Apparently we are a team that suffers from dementia in the second half. We forget to play.

Vince just kicked it the wrong way, apparently.

Not great signs.

remember last year when he ran to the Crows Bench.

Admirable that they hung in there, but we seem to be incapable of combining attack and defence the way the best teams do.

We seem to be capable of only one or the other per game.

again, crows player gets possession, doesn't take first option, gets tackled, holds onto the pill for a bit, DROPS the ball....not holding the ball. just ridiculous.

Yarrans about to get 3-4 weeks for belting chapman.

I'd say 5 minimum. Was a huge left hook off the play. Undefendable.

Agree. BTW he was still protecting himself not going for the ball in the contest, when it came to him and he gave it off.

I love Jack, but he is the softest player in the AFL and yet one of the most skilful.

trade while hes young, & while mnm is a desperado. they, must have someone we'd like.

McDonald is going great. Good to see VDB back. Went a bit quiet that 2nd qtr.

I just think we covered off skills by foot/running off half back through middle with Harry/Garlett dee.

Hendersen yes, but then again there's many options that would be better i think dee IF we could snare the trade but highly unlikely

Whatever the f**k happens in the Melbourne clubrooms at half time doesn't work.

Wow a free kick to us

Is it raining ?

Game over.

Good work Melbourne. You played 60 minutes.

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
