I pledge to drink several pints of cider after each breakthrough. :)

Added "Score 100 points". Before Round 1, we went 31 matches without scoring 100 points.

not beating St Kilda since 2006 is the most embarrassing.

would love to own Hawthorn sometime in my lifetime. they've owned us it seems forever since the 80s.

Since 1980:

59 games, 14 wins, 45 losses vs Hawthorn

Jebbuz that includes a few Northey wins

Apart from the 87 & 88 finals we did have quite a few Whorethorn victories under John

14 in 35 years....I do hope this thread is being read in the club..

All clubs must tick off MFC games with a red highlighter....

I dont think I can handle going through another season losing to both West Coast and North

When was the last time we beat the Bulldogs?

yeah mate, we are such a "gimme" team.

When was the last time we beat the Bulldogs?

2013, Watts kicked 4 goals and I think it was Neil Craigs 2nd game in charge

Was that the one we were up by about 45 points and beat them by 3 or something?

We were up for 50 and almost lost. 5 minutes into the last, my girlfriend asked if we were safe.

"Yeah it's game over."

Nek minnit...

The four records I can possibly see being broken this season.

1) Beating St.Kilda. We play them twice and while I doubt we'll beat them at Etihad, I would sincerely hope we could at least beat them at the G.

2) winning 2 in a row. We have a friendly fortnight in rounds 16 and 17, when we play Brisbane and St Kilda at the G. Both appear winnable on paper.

3) beating Collingwood. We play them twice, and given that the Pies are in re-build mode, we could beat them if we get them an off day.

4) winning at Etihad. While I can't see us beating the dogs in rd 20 and GWS in rd 23, we do play St Kilda at Etihad in rd 11, which could be winnable, depending on if St Kilda fall away by then.

Added Friday night, more so because we haven't played a Friday hight match for three years, and haven't won one for four.

What's a loosing streak? Is that like when the dogs are let loose off the leash? Or perhaps when a person of loose morals does a streak across a football ground?

50 game streak

edit

last time someone kicked a bag of 6 or more

rd 22, 2007 (russell robertson, 6 goals vs carlton at the MCG)

157 game streak

Edited by Curry & Beer

All these records wil be broken when we build a club both off & on the field which can challenge playing finals & grand finals...this will not happen overnight ... Look at the clubs like haw, Geel & swans it took them a decade to build those lists

This was around the time everyone was paranoid that he was going to request a trade to be with his mate at GW$, no?

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
