Don't forget that the RSL brought into the idea in the first place. As the President of the RSL at the time, Bruce Ruxton was a massive supporter of the concept. My understanding from speaking with a couple of RSL Head Office types is that the RSL credit the Anzac Day game as a significant component in the resurrection of Anzac Day as a major day of respect.

By the way, the RSL's Victorian CEO, Mike Annett, is a Melbourne supporter.

This decision seems to be a logical extension of the last. (I'm not arguing that the previous decision was correct - just that the decision regarding Dank's involvement just logically follows.)

The thing for mine is that unlike when in the REAL judiciary they are accountable to their peers and such here the 3 wise ones could do pretty well what they liked.

I'm not so sure.

The decision illustrated that they were satisfied with the supply chain and intent of those within the supply chain to source TB4.

The players got off because they couldn't prove they knew what they were taking. That doesn't really apply to Dank as he knew he was trying to source the TB4.

This entire process is a complete and utter debacle. The AFL and the EFC can GAGF.

I am at a complete loss as to how the Tribunal has come up with this conclusion based upon the "comfortable satisfaction" standard of proof it needed to apply to the totality of the evidence. Perhaps, if they released the findings to the public, some light could be shed on their thinking but there are too many logical inconsistencies here for me to be comfortably satisfied that a fair and reasonable outcome has been achieved. Unless WADA is prepared to take this to CAS in Switzerland, it's unlikely that we'll ever know the full story but it's not good news for the Essendon players who have been given legal protection for technical reasons and will now have to wear the mantle of "drug cheats" possibly for the rest of their lives. For their sakes, let's hope that the concoctions injected into them aren't harmful to their long term health.

I bet even though Gil said he wants the evidence to eventally be made public in in timely manner, I doubt it would ever see the light of day. Just like Hird and Dank were chomping on the bit to have the truth revealed. How can anyone trust justice delivered in secrecy behind closed doors? No me, so I have no respect for the tribunal, judges and their decision. As far as I am concerned they are as corrupt and tainted as the system. It is for them to prove to me otherwise.
