I have been away did anybody see Frawleys'first game. Did he have an impact? i noticed asssitant coach Bruce comments that he thought he was nervous!!

From memory he had 9 disposals and 4 frees against or something. Essentially, he stunk.

Hardly worth judging him off that one game though, but he'd want to pull his finger out and show some interest. If he thinks he'll magically return to AA form by switching to a premiership team, he's in for a Colin Sylvia-esque surprise.

An effective one-on-one defender but when he had a bit of time to show initiative he was too often exposed as a slow thinker.

Yeah, it was underwhelming, but he'll do better as he settles in and Lake and Gibson come back into the side.

I watched the game down in Launceston, he was well beaten, had a really poor game, fumbles, skill errors. That said, he was without most of Hawthorn other main defenders. Looks good in the brown and gold.

Not a massive loss to our team, he is not a game winner or game changer

To get Angus Brayshaw for him is a massive positive for the dees.

On the down side, Mitch Clark started poorly for the cats but worked his way into it and kicked a pair in the last quarter. Looks like he'll fit in pretty well once he gets that touch back.

I can't wait for Frawley's poor skills and desicion making to be exposed in a near flawless team.

I think he'll stand out for all the wrong reasons.

I kind of hope the focus player movement these days, becomes more about who or what you get, rather than who you lose. You can in reality do very little about the latter. The rules are clear as to when FA and RA trigger ( albeit the AFLPA wants to lower even further) so the dilution of appropriate compensation for losses in this area would make process inequitable IMO, yet the drums beat from time to time. Organising other trades within contract is somewhat easier rests with the clubs.

And he's just kicked three in the first quarter against Adelaide. We should have gotten better compo for him.
