  1. Sounds like the 10 year long Colin Sylvia conversation everybody use to have. 20** will be his year! 6 good games, 10 stinkers and 6 mediocre performances. Same old same old. Next year " watch Sylvia, big year for him in 20**" Never happened.... Be careful with your pie, don't cook too much, you may be eating it alone.
  2. A starting 22 is just the start. With injuries, suspensions and omissions the other 7-8 guys that will play an In and Out role are just as important. I'd be totally happy to not see Riley, Grimes, Mckenzie, Terlich all season.
  3. I stand up every week. Normally behind the goals punt road end. M1 or M2 depending where the posts are. We've got a tight regular group of about 7 that drink [censored] and carry on. More than welcome to join. Late 20's, early 30's.
  4. It may sound like sour grapes, but it's not... I can't wait for Frawley's poor skills and desicion making to be exposed in a near flawless team. I think he'll stand out for all the wrong reasons. Couldn't be happier with pick 3!
  5. Based on what? Typical Melbourne supporter's view. Because you got told how good they were when they were 17? Because they both went as high draft picks? Jimmy Toumpas looks like a boy playing against men. Watts looks like he doesn't even want to be there. I hope you're right mate, I'll come and cut the pie and eat the first piece! But I've seen nothing encouraging yet.
  6. Harsh on garland, he was playing on an athletic 198cm forward. Jack Grimes - not good enough! Seriously, this bloke won't get a game.
  7. I used to be a big James Frawley fan. His all Australian selection was 4 years ago, and lets face it, he hasnt come close to it since 2010. If he continues to draw out contract talks, he will do himself more harm than good. He was never a great user of the ball, but seems to be getting worse. His lack of awareness of opposition players around him is quite possibly the worst in the comp. I'd be dissapointed if Melbourne offer him a big salary. Dont get me wrong, i dont want him to go, but he really needs to work harder and get some of his best form back.
  8. You make a good point. It just seemed too easy to get a clearance against us. Looks like nothing has changed there. Although it isnt all Spencer's doing.
  9. Went to the game, very dissapointing. I think people are being a bit hard on Spencer - had alot of hit outs, probably needed to take more marks around the ground. He will get better. There is nobody better. Jamar is done , Clarke obviously no chance , King too young , Gawn is all hype poor kicking cost us the game and there is nothing else to it. Biggest dissapointments last night were Howe & McDonald (before he got injured) I hardly nioticed Howe at all last night, not sure of his stats but it couldnt have been good. I cringe every time Tom McDonald gets the footy. He is a poor desicion maker and forever turns it over. That one he kicked on the full early on made my blood boil. Its been an issue with him for a good 2 years now.
  10. Entry will just get you a GA seat I used to be a Premium home and Away member with a reserved seat for all home games before I down graded. Etihad games give you nothing, home or away - just a seat on Level 3. I was given an option to upgrade to premium seating at the gate - from memory about an extra $20, but that was a home game at Etihad
  11. Reading the match preview - although we clearly have injured ruckmen, Spencer is the standout for me. He can really develop with consitant senior football. Works hard, seems to have a good tank and has suprisingly good pace. how Jamar ever got a 3 year deal is beyond me - he also refuses to jump these days.
