lets just say they can't kick you out but my observance is from a distance.

I always said that when my daughters grew up I wanted them to have boyfriends of the faith. I have been half fortunate - the oldest certainly has a boyfriend of the faith - a diehard MFC supporter but the youngest has gone against the faith by going out with a Carlton supporter.

Glass half-full then nutbean? :)

3/4's full... the younger doesn't really like football - however the older does -I go to the footy with my daughter and her boyfriend and his father and brother so it is a nice family affair.

I know that Jewish Lineal lines are Matriarchal, I'm just reporting that on a site a few years ago which listed the ethnic origins of Aussie Rules footballers the 2 Krakour brothers were listed as having Jewish origin...

Here from the Beginning: Jewish Contribution to Life in Early Fremantle The Krakouer Family

In the end, the role of Rudolph Krakouer in the development of the mining industry in W.A. was relegated to a footnote in W.A. history. The Krakouer Brothers went on to start a string of hotels from Collie to Norseman. More significantly, they married local indigenous women, starting a dynasty of football players of Jewish-Aboriginal descent. And perhaps this is the most fitting legacy from that one enterprising convict who arrived in Fremantle 155 years ago.

Mazeltov nutbean. Given the number of teams and our performance in recent years, you've done well to keep 50% in the faith.

Yosef, the lawyer said to the wealthy art collector tycoon: "Abe I have some good news, and I have some bad news.”

Abe replies: "Yosef, i've had an awful day, give me the good news first.”

Yosef says: “Your wife invested $5,000 in two pictures today that she figures are worth a minimum of $15 million.”

Abe replies enthusiastically: “Well done, very good news indeed! You've just made my day; now what’s the bad news”

Yosef answers: “The pictures are of you in bed with your secretary.”

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
