hes 6-2 in the old language.... ( just like me shucks ) was a fwd...now a mid....Still learning the craft but hey.. He played very well this year... Knows how to tackle too apparently

He was a big bodied forward, they've turned him into a mid.

I don't like these undersized tall's being turned into mids, Bate and McNamara are prime examples.

It might work in the twos but not at AFL level.

just saying We need a stack of mids btw !! Hes not an answer......might be a cog in a solution though . Who knows.. Apparently MFC has had a look ..

I'd be willing to give a rookie spot for him. He certainly fits as a mid who can kick goals. The article mentions a number of clubs are looking at him, so I guess it's a matter of what they are willing to pay to get him. Also quite interesting that they keep referring to him as 6'2" at 191cm. I'd have called that 6'3" and a bit, but then I actually know what an inch is in cm.

Definitely 6' 3", as I'm 188cm and 6' 2". Nice height, nice weight but never heard of him!!!

Think he might be a bit slow and his hamstrings won't allow him to play midfield at afl level.

No idea what his disposal is like.

He was the U18 AA Full Forward a few years ago, rookied by the Bulldogs as he's a bit small to be an AFL key forward and never really took to it. My impression of him was that he was a lead-mark-goal player who didn't really have many other tricks. I'm surprised that he's managed to make the transition to a midfielder given that assessment. I just didn't think he'd have the agility or mental speed to be effective in that situation. I'd be very happy to be proven wrong.

would be definitely worth looking at, and would provide flexibility as a forward option as well as a mid. Pace is the question with him I believe.

thought he was a good type. played very strongly in U-18's but don't think he was blessed for speed as a key tall, or anything special, except he was a cool smart operator. mature looking type from memory.

it would not surprise that he may go well in the middle of the packs.

Sounds like a Tom Rockliff style transformation. The lack of fitness and pace is a concern but if he runs enough to be defensive then there are other ways for him to get the ball with his height. Norwood seem a really smart and creative club.

By the sounds of it I'd give him a look, if he can potentially get his engine up to afl standards of course..... For every Bate or there's a Mundy or Barlow type too, plenty of big mids getting around these days.

No one on here could believe it when he didn't get picked in the National Draft. Turned out to be the right decision. Bit NQR. Not many tricks and lacks a yard. That's not to say he can't make it. Spud Firito was in a similar boat.

Doesn't mean it was the right decision at all. square pegs & all. not sure if he was given proper opportunities off the back half ? Or thru the guts.
