The Josh Kennedy Revelation

The deal will be done by tomorrow 3pm. Some supporters may get a shock for the compensation we will be giving Sydney, but you have to pay overs to get these sorts of deals done.

I am told we should be thanking Chris Dawes for the effort he has put in to get Josh across. He and Kennedy are mates from their Sandringham Dragon days.

Go Dees!!

What do we have to give up?

How do u know this?

I have no reason to believe you but i have no reason not to believe you!

If we do get Kennedy i will be over the moon!

Can you please tell me if we will still be able to draft Brayshaw though?

points for telling us straight up and not making us guess through riddles!!!

MFC supporters at 1:55pm Thursday when no trades have happened:

2 AND 3 would be overs for anyone.

Knowing the MFC Smith Curse, if he did join us he would probably suffer a career ending injury within a few months.

I've also heard this from multiple sources over the past 48 hours, but gave up hope after Trengove.

Will be interested to see if it comes to fruition - I'll believe it when I see it signed off though.

Is this a riddle?

Thanks for the heads up! I'm skeptical but it does fit in with GNF and CIP's info on the other thread. You may as well tell as what we're giving up.

Genuine top-5 AFL player, when was the last time we had one of those? Sell the farm, we sure as hell couldn't end up worse-off.

2 or 3 or a Bird in the hand?

Will it include a pick back to us?

IF true, the deal was probably pick 2 or 3 + 12 + 23.

Maybe they'll take Watts instead of 12.

We probably have to give extra picks because the AFL won't let Syd take players...if we pay overs we can blame the AFL !!

He who giveth, taketh away. We get pp 3 and may end up having to 'give' it away.

26 years old. giving up picks 2 and 3 for him.

Please no.

1 pick, yes. 2 and ill be [censored] off.

26 years old? could have 6 years left

Exactly my thoughts. Big call, but much respect will be gained if turns out true. Reputation on the line

They cant take a player which is why losing 12 put a spanner in the works.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
