Assuming we get and have pick 3

Pick 3, Toumpas and either Trengove ( preferable) or Grimes for Dangerman!

Even though as I have said, Your all on the grass and in a crazed dementive state!

It won't bloodywell happen!!

Pick 2 AND potentially 3 are massive massive overs for anything less than say... an Ablett!

very interested to hear what roos says on 360 in a couple of minutes.

thought his segment stopped after round 23?

Let us know if he says anything of note

It would be another dream to land Danger man.

I have just finished cruising down the Rhine with 34 Adelaidians.

They are devastated that Danger may be leaving. Although not so bad if he goes to Melb.

They would hate the thought of him turning up at Port or Pies.

I have had a great couple of weeks talking footy with them.

They aren't as mad as a lot of people think.

Or maybe I just happened to get the 34 sane barstards.

Any hoo now that we look like we may get Harry with still a chance of Danger.

I am am in a better mood as I head for France.

Bonjour

you poor basstard!!! feel for you

Adeladians to the Rhine....like Briquettes to Newcastle ^_^

Enjoy a bottle of bubbly for me PD :)

I don't believe 2 and 3 are overs.

Danger is the type of player who could drag this club out of the mire and take the rest of the team with him.

With Lumumba and possibly Malcevski to support him a drastically lift the standard at training and on match day.

A proven match winner who has consistently polled top five in the brownlow year after year.

A high draft pick, could be a a good player or he could be another, Tambling, Sylvia or Morton.

I don't want to risk it again, we don't have a good record with high draft picks.

Roos was "startled" by the result Saturday. "Stunned".

Said Sydney just didn't respond to the pressure.

Key to Hawthorn's success is their impeccable ball movement.

Hawks slow the ball down by keeping possession, allowing them to breathe, forcing Sydney to work harder for no result and exhaust themselves.

Have to tread very fine line between spraying players and being comforting, because it can damage relationships permanently.

Believes Clarkson is the best coach in the game. "You have to remember where they were, what they were like when he got there. They were a really poor team, building team, young team."

On improving: Have to "start at the start", only way to get to their level is being as hard as the Hawks. The one constant in grand final teams, they're hard, tough, they tackle.

Thank god this guy coaches us, he understands each team's strategies flawlessly.

On a side note: Bomber "definitely not" approached by another club. Staying at Essendon is "ummm... an option."

Gerard: Will you trade picks 2 and 3 for Dangerfield?

Roos: (wry smile, took a moment to get his composure, didn't seem to be anticipating such a direct question). "First and foremost, he's a terrific player who is contracted for next year."

Speculation started with Roo saying he was tradeable.

"We haven't spoken to him."

"If Frawley goes, we... everyone expects us to get pick 3".

"We'll talk to Patty.. if he says he wants to leave Adelaide we'll look into it."

Mentioned Robbo asked him about it before the show. Either way, all deflection. Saying they haven't talked is, for my money, another complete lie. There's a script all involved parties are following here. AFC, MFC, Roos, Patty, his manager.

You should all try medititating. Its working for me. Channeling my inner "demons". I can feel something great is about to happen.....ummmmmmmmm

Agreed, also Bomber is a terrible liar. He's off to the Gold Coast. He was clearly uncomfortable answering the question.

Gerard & Robbo's opinions on the trade period:

Waite: Going to North.

Liam Jones: Going to Carlton.

Ryder: Going to Port.

Beams: Offering pick 4 or nothing, Brisbane won't budge, Collingwood being ridiculous.

Frawley: Collingwood (???? according to Gerard)

Frawley: Robbo says Hawthorn.

Clark: Geelong.

Dangerfield: Staying in Adelaide "simple as that" says Robbo.

McKenna done within 48 hours.

Mark Thompson, "think he'll be at Essendon" says Robbo, Gerard says "might want to re-think that". Robbo: "If the AFL went to Mark Thompson with $1.7 million and said, Mark, we need you to coach this team... he would do it." Done deal I reckon.

Agreed. He also kept asking idiotic questions about the grand final to Roos and Bomber when clearly the more interesting conversation involved Bomber's future and Roos' trade intentions. All we got was a rushed question about Danger that was deflected in typical Roos fashion. Compare that to his answer when asked about R'OK, where he outright said it was probably a year too late.

it might make you go blind

slobbo is a complete moron. he can't even follow a basic run-down ffs.

I think he's deteriorating after essendon was ridiculed in the federal court a week or so ago. On the grog.

This is the "Danger" thread. Don't care much for Robbo especially when he is slobbering!

Signed up seven kid members to the club yesterday.

Three of whom were new-born sons of mates of mine - fathers all support the Crows.

Get Danger and we've got these boys for life.

That said, it'll be bloody hard to dislodge Danger from Adelaide. But everyone knows that.

As an aside, and I've posted it before, but my son is the youngest ever member of this club. In its entire history. Signed him up as soon as I found out his sex and could give him a name - he was 20 week fetus at the time.

His favourite player is Bernie Vince. Well, I reckon it is - he can't talk yet.

If we get Dangerfield, I'll get my first ever membership (100%) as well. Our membership will basically explode if we land Danger.

you should prob just buy a membership anyway

What sort of peculiar individual spends time on DL without being a member?

Dangerfield would have to be worth at least 5000-6000 pre-season memberships alone.

Oh k, I promise I will. Deciding on what package I should get right now :)

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
