Will go out on a limb here with what has been said and what I have heard as late as this morning.

Dangerfield to Dees for pick 2 + Toumpas plus exchange of later picks

Shiel to Dees for pick 3 + possible player or exchange of later picks

And thats all folks!

Sounds excellent to me.

The question is though, are you still drunk?

My cynicism meter just went off the scale

My mind agrees OD, but my heart wishes :)

I was at the Sept Club too in the SEN tent...saw Danger who was well and truly past talking at that stage. Don't blame him either. Wouldn't be in the

Oh, saw a lot of love between Molloy and Tex Walker. I have a sore neck from looking up at Nic Nat. Mathew Richardson, nice bloke, was tired of doing selfies. Used the gents beside Heppell - didn't think it was the right time to mention supplements though.

How good was Nic Nat on the decks

The Sunday footy show seemed to think we were offering picks one and two for Danger.

That would be Dangerous.

Sorry , I meant 2 and 3

I reckon that is the understatement of the week cf.

Agree why on earth would the MFC look attractive ?

OD in all seriousness Id agree with you about the OLD Melbourne , but the NEW MFC is a different beast.

Going along same vein as why I dont rate Chip, because he wants ready made , many a really good player might like to be part of a new fabric and add to it. Cull half a dozen deadwood and in place insert 6 decent players and its a very different team.

This would be exactly what Roos will tell any prospectives. Melbourne can be every bit as good as you ( player ) can help make it

Well I didn't see the segment. If it was Barrett, as much as we all hate him, he does seem to have reasonable sources from this club (first to break Hogan's injury, and Clark's comeback) so wouldn't surprise me if we are going to do it. I hope its true.

dont get me wrong....Id be happy to use pick 1 to help get Danger. Saints are a mess, they might not even notice !! ^_^

Fully sober thanks E.T. Just a bit of a headache.

huge win for the dees just can't see it to be honest. Think we will trade and Draft well again no huge names but some good talent in the door think the Goodwin deal was perfect timing

I can't help wondering whether the stones were affected by those supplements...

Back on topic. Re Cameron, Roos has called for mids mids and more mids. Given that we just saw Hawthorn smash a team with forward line containing Franklin, Tippet, Reid and Goodes (handy 4th forward), it reinforces the view that building an A Grade midfield first makes more sense.

I suppose you're right . Kick the bloody thing in there often enough and surely someone will kick the goals.

Cameron or Reid would be handy to support Dawes and young Hogan however.

Just popped me zipper.

I think Sydey and Hawthorn went about it differently, and the Hawks' game plan was easily more effective. Clarkson has basically turned his midfield into goalkickers, they have an amazing spread of players who go forward and kick goals.

Sydney, conversely, have pulled in as many key forward talls as they can and expect the midfielders to deliver them. The Bondi Billionaires are expected to do the rest.

I prefer the former, and clearly the grand final indicates which is more successful.

Thought Sydney looked top heavy yesterday.

Tippet Reid etc no good at ground level.

Lake and Gibson do a great job on superstars.

Hawthorn aren't exactly struggling for forward targets. Roughy and Gunston are better than anything we currently have.

We need key forwards.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
