Holy Cow "Fremantle offers James Frawley $3 million five-year deal" latest headline from the Herald Sun. Serious money now on offer and way better than Geelong. No thinking needed take the money and run Chip

Would prefer him to go to Freo than Geelong, purely so that he is on the other side of the country.

I have been told that the only concern with going to fremantle that Chip has is the flying every second week, also expect an offer from Gold Coast and Hawthorn to come, they are going to keep driving the price up which is great for us, I think he's already got us pick 3 though.

Where have u been Demoneyes?

Unwell for a long time. Not depression but should have been after watching Dees!

He's Chips real estate agent, he's been in Perth

Good guess. Just showed him a nice place at Cottesloe. Beautiful sunsets

Frawley v Pick 3 = Frawley hands down. One of the best key position backmen in the world, they don't grow on trees.

yes and no

My whisper ages ago alluded to a 4/5 year deal up to 2.5 or there about... Geelong's closer to his mates etc. Housing in Perth is a lot dearer than the Ballarine..lol

In the end I really couldnt give a rats where he goes as long as it delivers a goodly prospect in return for the pick he'll deliver

Depends where you go but with $3mil in the pocket you can afford to go anywhere!

Not if he wants to play somewhere else.

He'd prefer to too, unless he wants a dollar sign scratched into his drivers side door, when he leaves it in the cats carpark.

Hawthorn have cooled on Frawley.

Hawthorn have cooled on Frawley.

Were they really ever that keen ? I think some in the media might have spun things

That is $100k more a year. After tax $50k and you have to move across the country, fly every second week. His good mate Rivers plays at Geelong. His family is not far from Geelong.

I think this is about driving his price up with the Cats a bit closer to the Freo bid. then he looks a good bloke for taking a bit less.

Then again I could be wrong. I thought MC was going to play with us again.

Im pretty devo about Chip leaving. I was a backman in my Jouiner days so his one of my all time fav player.

If I see him around Perth I would still walk up to him with my demon jumper and get him to sign it, he played more then 100 games for us so his still a demon in my eyes.

Chip is 100% gone. The MFC have had a offer on the table for a while now, if he was staying his signature would be on the contract, however, he is out there looking for a new home.

Frawley out pick 3 in

Geesus Hasnt this pr87K GONE YET ! cant wait to use our pick on a player who wants to play for the Dees

Mr 75% can go wherever who cares

Sandra Sully comes out of retirement...

I do a lot of work with Jarred Rivers brother here in Adelaide. Just bumped into him after not seeing him for a while n although we already know this he confirmed its a done deal. Frawley to Geelong, he mentioned that Jarred has known since the middle of the year.

Well I just read 89 pages of this thread, I could have saved myself a lot of time and just read your post.

Yeah, as I've said, Frawley and Rivers are close and have wanted to play together for a while now, but nothing is signed or decided, and it definitely hasn't been since the middle of the year.

A "done deal" is only a done deal, if the deal is signed off.

All parties know this... except for the gullible supporters that choose to ignore it.

How is he 100% gone if he hasn't announced it and you're basing it on opinion?

He's 100% gone when he signs with another club. Anything can happen between now and then.

Wonder if the appointment of Goodwin will affect the thinking of Frawley and Clark ?

Exactly, and if it was a 'done deal' since mid year why would he entertain Fremantle?

Well mate hope u r on the mend now.

Good luck with it.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
