The fact that he is mobile and can take a contested grab allows us the luxury of playing a first ruck quality player up forward. Flow on effect is that an under sized kpp like Cam Pederson doesn't need to take on ruck duties.

Still can't believe Richmond subbed Hampson out so early leaving Vickery and Griffiths to ruck against Jamar and Gawn. Handed us the clearances on a platter. The Gawn tap-assist to Vince was a beauty, but given he was rucking against Dustin Martin in that contest, you'd expect he would win the tap pretty easily.

Meanwhile at one centre bounce Vince had to ruck due to a blunder with the timing of the interchanges and neither Pedersen nor Dawes realising what was going on.

We won that centre clearance too :P

The likes of Spencer and Firzpatrick are projects,

You have to be kidding if you think Fitz is a project.

The key is to keep Gawn fit and playing footy. Spencer has been handy but is a clear 3rd option in the ruck. Until we draft another talented kid he will remain a depth option for the dees.

Fitzy is an enigma wrapped in a mystery. Roos may look to use him in different roles, maybe even see what he can do down back. I still think he has some value, maybe just not as a ruckman.

Every year there is a better ruck man than Spencer either delisted or able to be picked up for a very late pick. Read Deryckx, Ceglar, Jolly etc etc.

Please desist with the Spencer experiment.

Another Richmond blunder getting rid of Derickx.. would have been handy for them on Saturday..
