Cancerous, self-interested and arrogant.

That's what comes to mind, regardless of their 'service' to the club. (They were highly paid players, I'll be sick if someone says they were great 'servants').

No defending Neeld and his abilities at all but the coach is the coach and for a mature aged, professional footballer who considered himself a leader of the club ,well his leadership skills failed him miserably.

It's damning for a professional footballer to seem so insipid in the face of internal scrutiny. He really didn't face too much on field adversity in his time at the club, and when he did, he opted to display his dissatisfaction rather than work to overcome it.

Robbo (and others) was able to say – I disagree with the club, I still think I have something to give – Even if he was wrong, he didn't burn bridges on the way. Heck, even Brucey managed a difficult exit without staining his legacy.

Plays every game like he's trying to prove something to anybody but himself.

It was all about Beamer, always.

Don't even get me started. He was even more gutless.

Cancerous? Over-paid?

Yes of course! The year Beamer won a Bluey we won more games than the collective games won for the 3 years transpiring that.

So glad the cancer was removed, great call Stevey.

But! I will agree you're right about Sylvia.

Over-paid?... I said highly paid Carlos Santana.

And yes, of course he was cancerous. He may have loved the club, but the way in which he played, instructed his teammates and carried himself was in an extremely selfish manner. I don't care how many bluey's the bloke won. That said more about the state of our midfield and list then anything else..

I am appreciative of him giving his all on game day, but he was definitely having more of a negative influence on the 'team' then a positive one. That has been well documented, and evidenced by his departure from the club.

did anyone see ch7 sport last night. They showed a clip fron Jonno Brown when he was miked up for his game against richmond. He was caught sledging Pettard when he was the loose man back in defence. Brown was basically telling him to earn a kick instead of chasing the easy ones and told him to actually man up on an opponent and said this is why the dees got rid of you.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
