MFC Merchandise and Branding

Chook in Perth

A competition (with prize) for a (new) demon logo might be a good idea

This is the one thing that I hope we never, ever resort to. This is where you end up with competition-based design/branding:

where is the demon link in the current logo Stuie? The stupid Trident?

Think you misunderstood me, I HATE the current logo with a passion, but I would prefer it over the "MFC Olive Branches" logo for the footy side of things

There's no reason why we can't have a range of logo options for different scenarios. Lots of companies and organisations do this.

The problem with the new shield is that it's trying to be everything to everyone, and it ends up just being a dog's breakfast. My hope is that the Demons brand will be presented to supporters in a way that we can all feel proud to be associated with it. Basically want us to be the NY Yankees cap of the AFL. Is that too much to ask? ;)

Honestly, I agree. The logo that Schwab came up with looks crap on merchandise and on television. It is overly complicated. I hate it on the jumper too. Looks like garbage. An unnecessary stain. Here is a better logo that we already use for the business community that would be better than what we currently use

Like it Cell.

I read on 'land that the Demons Shop told a poster the new training jumper is easily outselling the home jumper and the away jumper. Could be just because it's new, but people like the old styled MFC logo.

I reckon you have it again

The plain MFC looks traditional and professional and I like that

the demon logo looks modern and active like that also

the red and the blue can be used effectively and is why we should insist on blue (home Dark) and red (light clash) strip to reinforce our brand

There can be different logos for different occasions or products but the club should try and ensure there is a quality and consistency with its approach its about branding and again I reckon Russell Howcroft probably knows more about this than most.

why do we have to accept any of the AFL crapp. Surely we own our images and right to market as see fit

It can only be a convenience that some fool signed that lands us in our current predicament. Time to send a letter to rescind this situation.

And of course I also want the logo to die a firey death. It is abhorrent, and is representative of one of the worst periods in the club's history. It's a basket-case, and the club should recognise that. They wrote back with some pretty interesting stuff about the logo survey, might post it later.

Would be very interested in this if you can post it. I am hoping that the majority of supporters feel the same way about the logo - that it is awful and needs to be binned asap.

I don't mind the shield/emblem but they need to get rid of the southern cross, the script writing in the background, the flame above the "M" and probably the football/trident as well. They could maybe replace the southern cross with another trident but he point is if they simplified it it wouldn't be too bad.

Here are two emblems that if given a modern twist would be great shields that would incorporate the demon

I would replace Redlegs with Demons, eliminate the 1982 and replace it with 1858 and lose the Redleg logo to be replaced by MFC monogram

Same to apply to the above

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
