I would play except I have two small problems

1/ complete absense of any talent

2/ pea heart

Problems? These are Barry Prendagast essentials.

I share both of those afflictions Nutbean.

Such a burden we carry.

If I played I think you'd all be treated to a live re-enactment of that "Cale Morton Runs Away" video, except on repeat for 4 quarters of footy.

Jeez Rollo... I'm 33 next week, why do I get the feeling I am about to get 'list managed' into retirement?

We've signed on a high profile coach. We've just come of a 20 goal win. I think the team is in pretty good order.

... Glad someone is future planning though.

hey, wise (aka the red fox)...

horses for courses, mate...

you were running round like a twenty-year old last sunday...

Same age as my son, rollo2, who played one season too many with uni blacks, and is now battling a serious back injury...

we have never turned away anyone wanting to play, despite the fact that we've seen some older guys injure themselves in these games...

there are exceptions (like you), but the main problem I see is that a list with an average age over 30 is not heading in the right direction...

you played in our very first game, and you may remember hards, cactus, doggo and freak, all your age and all retired now...

(one of them is threatening me with an Intervention Order if I send him anymore notices about future games)...

I say again we have not had new players in any quantities for the last 3 years...

Without the extra numbers brought by you, brett and steve the ruckman last week, we would have been severely embarrassed...

With this thread, I was hoping that there would be posts like a text I had from Whispering Jack last week. "I have a couple of young blokes interested in playing. I will ask them, rollo, and get back to you."

Another great captain's game last week, BTW...

Can't shake the tank.

hey, mate...

get off this serious thread...

alternatively, thanks for bumping it...

look, people, we have a serious problem...

and I have thrown it open to the entire forum...

(there are some big brains out there)...

because us forum footy guys are out of ideas...

Excuses, excuses, YDE.

I was wondering if I should put my hand up.

My last game was in PNG when I coached my side to a 14 goals win in a GF and kicked a bag of goals at full forward.

Only trouble is it was in 1973 and I'm a bit long in the tooth, now.

Ah, the memories ............

It wasn't Koboni by any chance?

If so you know me.

Rollo

There are a lot of guys playing superules in Melb and most of them are pretty handy.

I doubt many would have time to tune in here but I'm sure any Dee fans amongst them would welcome a chance to play in the colours.

All it would take is to get an in with them and the word will spread as they are a pretty close mob, or is that herd?

Or maybe contact the SR league admin.

weight: 105 kg 96 kg

height: 195 cm

I played in GV, Central Murray, Hampden, North central and warrnambool districts over about 12 years
