Time to sack the Richmond Board

Your capacity to rationalise, or think lucidly, is completely non-existent.

It was sarcasm. There is a group of people who genuinely believe he is both sexist and racist. I however am not one of them.

From what I heard they were pretty keen to see him move on but no club took the bait.

Any number of Demonland posters appear desperate to have him on our list.

Just the sort of leadership we need to help build the team.

Officer: did you know your lisence is currently suspended Mr Martin.

DM: nah , didn't know that.

Officer: and your vehicle is unregistered also.

DM: what's that mean?

The online story has 6 sentences. Perhaps there's more to come, but are we to believe Caroline Wilson would have stopped at 6 sentences if it had been a player from any other club?

Unlikely LDC.

Hmmm, would love to know where the equal opportunity exists in women playing lingerie football... unless of course you believe that the AFL should have the men running around in their jocks only?

Remember the film Slapshot with Paul Newman, where the outrage is when the guy gets his kit off on ice while they are busy pounding each other...

Look Martin is redneck simpleton who is unable to manage his life. This has been covered sufficiently in the news.

This latest incident is a minor fluff piece. He wasnt drunk and he does not appear to have any issues with breaking the law besides his suspended licence. In itself not a hanging offence.

if he was drunk and/or been in an accident then the severity rises.

But what else was there to cover?

If anything she scooped this news and disclosed it.

Salary cap, private arrangement, what a joke.

With China Southern Airlines as a sponsor, Jones should expect his own private plane shorly.

While I agree with your assessment of the newsworthiness of the story, Caroline has managed previously to turn fluff into a three piece knitted suit. I would have thought the investigative, impartial Caroline Wilson would have been looking at whether Jeep was concerned with the image of one of the players of its sponsored club involving their product in a law breaking episode. She might also have explored the third party arrangement and whether the Richmond Footy Club might be (a) tiring of Martin's ongoing issues or (b) contemplating additional behavioural controls. As I said in my earlier post, perhaps she still will. And I also agree with you that if she exposed the story, she does deserve credit for doing so.

Didn't hear any of the press having a dig at ch 7 for their constant crosses to that bogan bikie in the crowd.

The focus on him was pathetic in my opinion, worse than having King invite him into the club rooms last year

I could be wrong but wasn't that Dusty's father they were crossing to RGRS? Not sure.

I'm more interested in how he can be given a Jeep to drive by their main sponsor and it be labelled a "third party deal".

No idea, you may be right, hope so.

he was out with sam fisher the other night and was posting photos on his instagram account. Ddint stkilda worry about his off field behavior last year?

This a low grade issue so Wilson knows it's not worth the chase. It's not enough to discipline him. It's not enough for Jeep to have a hissyfit. The registration of the vehicle was not the players responsibility.
