Seems we have now passed 20,000 members which is 2700 ahead of where we were at this time last year.

From the MFC site.

That's impressive but also somewhat expected given the change in coaching landscape. Particularly Paul Roos.

Good news indeed

Now we just need to win games

yep, if he is worth only 5000 extra members he has more than paid for himself - no overs there

well i was only talking about the effect of roos on membership numbers and for those (outsiders) who thought we paid too much

if we do end up bottom again it will get real ugly

40k would be a great accomplishment given the performances that we've put out in the past few years.

The bigger accomplishment would be to do it in 2015...

The Roos signing has got people excited, but March and April may bring us back to earth. If 2014 is as tough as I envision it to be - it would be huge if we got to 40k members in 2015.

The Roos signing is exciting but so is the idea that we should have a competitive midfield next year. I think most supporters know our forward line fully fit can kick a score our back line fully fit are as good as any in the AFL if we can only compete through the middle it will be an exciting year. Not talking finals, just going to the footy knowing we have a chance to win or at least play well.

I'll be buying my membership for the second year in a row as soon as I find a job. I've got $25 to my name right now. That's the price of the first payment for the armchair membership. Not going to lie, I seriously considered just buying it now. But then, I thought there might be a few things more important than getting my Dees membership early. Like food. And beer.

You da man AD !! That's passion mate.

They posted that article on the night of the 25th

Now on the morning of the 29th, and the membership total melbournefc.com is showing as 21,309

Nice little jump the last few days

Assuming the club will shut from the 20th, it would be an amazing result to get the 3691 members sign up and hit 25K before Christmas.

signed up the other day , after missing this year ( was in a cash free zone ) no special reason why , always try to pay up when I can , but next year will be grouse and if American demon wants a hand to join up , I willing to help out , go DEES

Got my pack today. I'm liking the focus on the team. It has been the first time in a while where we have done that.

I got my membership pack today too, was so excited and unexpected! A great way to start the week! Love the calendar and the actual membership card is great too.

A break through it came today.

Looks good actually.

Particularly like the new cap.

Simple MFC emblem on the front.

The tough on baller won his second Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Trophy in a narrow battle with skipper Max Gawn and Alex Neal-Bullen and battled on manfully in the face of a number of injury niggles. TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
