Roos likes tough players who take no backward steps. Freeman is a raging bull.

I know it doesn't have the alliteration value of Rhino Richards but if Nathan is delivered to us, and he proves to be the irrepressible force he is supposed to be can we call him Rhino anyway? Always loved the physicality of the original

To me he looks like a Brent Moloney with better pace and ability to follow up (better workrate and fitness) which is what Moloney lacked to become a great midfielder.

A friend of mine who was playing TAC with Chargers said Freeman was one of the best players he'd seen and a really nice bloke (although not much between the ears apparently)

Ability to become a Dangerfield or Shuey. Opposite end of the spectrum would be a stronger Blease. Lets hope its the former if he ends up in the red and blue :)

From what I hear, neither does he have the disruptive personality. That would help. I think he would suit the sort of side we are developing perfectly. The explosive pace would be a real bonus too

I'm getting the feeling that Freeman must be firming for Melbourne's first draft choice.

I haven't seen Aidan Riley play but he's another recruit who's supposed to be an inside midfielder.

Sooner or later we are going to take a player who can break the lines with pace. Freeman seems to be the one who can do that.

I believe these are his correct details for height & weight

Height: 184cm, Weight: 85kg

I was under the impression that Freeman plays both inside and out.

Clear favourite on Demonland (2012 Ollie Wines was the call). Will Demonland get the raging bull Freeman as a ready to play, fast mid that MFC needs.

(and who our kids can go Wow when he speeds down the MCG wing).

It now depends on the six Clubs in front of us now (with picks 1 and 8 excluded).

You can probably exclude a few more as it is pretty certain Kelly, Billings and Kade K. will be gone before 9. I am pretty confident Aish will be as well. That if I am correct is 6/9 picks accounted for. That means that there are two picks that could affect our thinking.

I see Brisbane and Collingwood as the clubs we are not 100% sure of. Anyway it is all conjecture and draft fun.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
