Looks to me like Robinson was telling more truths than lies

As is often the way the real truth , as opposed to various person's interpretations thereof , is invariably somewhere in the middle of things.

Its about to get really ugly for some...... tsk tsk....shame ....lol

Indeed, I think that he was telling his truth. Hird and Co are the ones giving us the 'half-truths and rhetoric'.

Yes he told the truth from his POV.

why else would he do it?

He has already had to put his house on the market.

Essendon will lie until the very last moment imo.

I think Essendon believe they have nothing left to lose by changing strategy. They perhaps already know the penalty and it may be too much to bear by meekly accepting it. They have to weigh up what the legacy will be after the outcome. By going on the offensive, they put the whole game and AFL under pressure with the prospect they can gain some leverage and better to be seen fighting it out than surrender. It will appease the rabid supporters who will never accept the stab in the back that they are now conditioned to believing. This is like the bunker mentality of the last days of The Third Reich.

The EFC's attitude has changed dramatically since the departure of Evans.

Since Little has taken over it is the opposite, attack everyone, defend at all costs.

It is an everything or nothing approach, it must be worrying the AFL.

The EFC is now pushing the AFL into a position of making it difficult for the AFL to defend them.

From the small amount I know about Little it is not unexpected.

He is someone who takes no prisoners, is used to getting his way and sees the world as you are either with us or against us.

Interesting couple of weeks ahead.

ooh yeah..

Essendon has deep deep purses . AFL has ubiquitous war chest. WADA dont give a sh1f !! Many names have put reps on the table.. Lots of half truth and some plain lies have been offered up. AFL scared 2014 will be nobbled. Essendon arrogantly not sure what the fuss is about but probably dont like the notion of draft pick losses, possibly a season played for no points, but then played by whom ?? lol

Egos bruised battered and against the wall. Overseeing authorities need to smack someones bunn or be seen as lame ducks.

This all reminds me of a Sergio Leone film....the bit where all the gunners are out there, poised, apprehensive, squinting eyes and pulling faces, cameras zooiming in on the face shots, carrion seated , spectating and sqawking. Sun shimmering as the heat haze brings a sweat to the brows of the combatants...

Hird, Dank, Robinson, Vlad,,,,ASADA.......back to Hird, sweat drips to the dusty ground . Camera switches to images of dusty boots shuffling forward , onwards to their destiny. Back to faces, back to sweat. The nervous twitch, the confident glare.

Shop doors close and townsfolk hide behind shuttered windows. Saloon doors go still. The town clock strikes......NOON !!!!!

a hand reaches for a gun...........

i don't understand hird

first he say he can't wait for the public to learn the "truth"

now he has hired a qc to try and bring an injunction to stop the asada report going public

so james, what is it? the truth or secrecy?

this has got to be the best thing to happen to dee supporters all year.

cant wait for golden boy and sect followers to start throwing mud at coll/hawth/wc

we could in fact be playing against sides next year without their drug induced squad

im seeing more wins and more slagging off at opposition clubs. that have given it to us for years

interesting quote my stuart little. MISTRUTHS, he didn't use the word lies. and the asada paper apparently comes out on the 4th august

should we prepare a jumper number for zaharakis?

should we throw 20.00$ in the hat for the legal fighting fund of jimmy jones?

Both Eddie Obeid and James Hird have been using the line where they cant wait for the truth to come out to show how innocent they are.

Their speeches have been nearly identical.

Now James is getting ready to go with "I cant discuss it until the report has been fully released", while employing the most expensive QC in the land to stop the report from being released.

Yet his supporters (including it would seem Andrew D) keep on keeping on.

this is getting beyond the joke that it has been so far, so lets get down to FACT

The only problem that I can see regarding the Bummers not playing finals is that it may allow the original roid lovers, West Coke Eagles a chance to play in them.

So as not to dig up any more dirt on Essendons past indiscresions, what was that Robinson said about JH being injected during his playing days?.... Just give us the 2000 flag now Vlad, reverse the final scores we will go quietly.......

Who actually knows? But he had, according to D'Arcy put the same information in his sworn statement to ASADA, so he should be pretty sure of his facts or would face possible jail time for perjury. (at least he wouldn't need his house were he granted free accommodation by our government).

The players accept the stab in the belly but the supporters won't accept the stab in the back???

I think they said update, i wish it was the final result

AFL about to make a statement soon re ASADA investigation. Could this be it?

Yes, they mentioned on Foxtel that there would be a statement at 7:40pm (my son told me they said 'announcement'...and who am I to disbelieve what he says).
