Beamer shows a bit of class....

Shane Warne says hello.

Another [censored] that we should have sold to Pakistan I spose?

shane warne was the best bowler in the world at one stage, brent moloney is nothing but a bit part player who has mirror muscles and could kick the ball long.

it seems to me that brent has spent to much time at the gym and it is now only muscle between his ears

BM was not the greatest player in the league, but he was one of our best midfielders and was a lifelong Dees supporter. Just imagine if some twitchy [censored] came in and tore shreds off you, demoted you and sent you packing from the club you loved?

Not everything is so black and white Jaded. Mark Neeld and Brent Moloney are no angels, but the fact remains Moloney was treated like [censored].

Fact? Come on, he was played every week and given every chance to prove Neeld wrong. Hardly treated like [censored].

Brock McLean was treated like [censored] to, it seems to happen a lot at the MFC, they desperately need an experienced coach.

Moloney was right, Neeld is a dud, and now it has been proven.

Proven how? Because a board we all agree is a pathetic waste of space decided to sack him at a moment that might buy a few of them a chance at keeping their jobs? You need to get a dictionary and look up the definition of proof dude.

So is knifing a loyal player in the back when he bled for us, even after he wins the B&F and gets 18 odd votes in the Brownlow.

So loyal that he started shopping himself around to other clubs a year before he left. Don't forget that he was trying to get away before he'd even played a game under Neeld. The guy chucked a wobbly because he wasn't made captain and he's still sulking today. This is just more proof that we are better off without him. A classic example of a bad influence on our young players.

I reckon i would have worked my arse off to prove him wrong the fact that BM allegely spat the dummy and withdrew his services for a year shows you exactly the kind of leader he wasnt

I used to like his game despite his glaring limitations

Just go away Brent and hopefully you may grow up

Imature Knobs are imature Knobs at least Brock has done something and made the best of hi skills and ability

I wonder how Brent will go

So a jilted footballer uses social media to have a crack at his former coach ? He shouldn't have, but it's hardly earth shattering stuff.

It's not earth shattering Ben, but certainly only vindicates Neeld's list management decision. Mind boggling stupid by Moloney. I reckon I coach more mature kids than him. Think before you post, Moloney. Ridiculous human being.

Brent Moloney is at his third AFL club... Correct me if I am wrong, but he didn't get a game last match. Hardly a bloke who carries much weight when it comes to valued opinion!

1. Isnt Karma supposed to come in to play in the next life - as in paying the price for the sins of one life in the next?

2. Moloney is often maligned on this forum as being lazy, not working hard enough or not working on his defensive game enough. if you review his stats he certainly wasn't the worst offender defensively, and all views about his supposed laziness and work ethic are conjectural.

3. Now that Neeld is gone we might hear an alternate possibility. That Moloney was viewed by neeld as a stick in the mud unwilling to buy in to his game plan and voicing the opinions not only of himself but the playing group. if the truth comes out it will be interesting to hear if there is truth to the suggestion that Neeld infact came in, baked the players so hard that he lost some of them. Rumours of players crying, etc.

Im not defending Moloney in terms of some of his behaviour last year or his expectation that he would walk into the captaincy as some have suggested. But I don't buy this continued BS that he was axed because he was lazy. it doesn't make sense when you look at his defensive stats and I was told the above by someone I know should know.

Ben Hur, your slobbering all over Brent makes you another candidate for the title "hardly a bloke who carries much weight when it comes to opinion!"

That being said it is very immature to use social media to say what doesn't have to be said Brock McLean - I mean Brent Moloney

He has a back injury w that's why he was not in the side last wk.

There is no evidence this is true. He thought he was captain material - mark my words.

Footballer makes not very well thought out comment on social media.

In other news, Liberace liked men.

I congratulate most of the Demonland posters who have contributed here. I was initially amazed at the almost universal condemnation of Moloney's cheap shot. However the response has restored my belief in the integrity of the majority here. Ben-Hur and other lap-dogs are excluded from this sentiment!

At the end of the day - who cares - Moloney wasn't going to lead us to a flag and it seems neither was Neeld. Time to look forward!

It's not earth shattering Ben, but certainly only vindicates Neeld's list management decision.

No. It doesn't.

Footballers aren't recruited for their brain power. Some are astute and some are like Moloney. It vindicates nothing. You could argue his form vindicated the decision, but not this minor episode.

Ben Hur, your slobbering all over Brent makes you another candidate for the title "hardly a bloke who carries much weight when it comes to opinion!"

WTF are you talking about, lightweight ?

Explain how I'm lauding his act, or even defending it ? Of course you won't be able to. But at least have a go. Be sure to use quotation marks.

Someone with some class would keep his mouth shut. He stopped being a good servant and wiped out any credits when he took the easy way out instead of manning up and working a bit harder.

& this is what Neeld risked his career on, stopping this cheap & one way football being played at this club... by some very highly rated players recently gone last year...

at least he got one off season in, to off load the free loaders, before the club culture got him....

In years to come, this club will see this time as a mile post, but the problem will be, the Real work again, will not be recognised,,, & if Not, the club again will not have learnt.

Neelds cleanout, will help to set us up going forward..

Careful brent. It looks like your coach will get the sack as well. Not that im saying neeldy would get the job but maybe you should focus on trying to win for your coach. Otherwise you may get a tough coach who may actually make you work.

Look, I was a Beamer fan, disappointed how it all went down, turns out he was not a team player prepared to do what the coach wanted.. Didn't like it, left.

Silly by him to Instagram what he I'd. Move on now.

I hope for Brent's sake that he is good enough to play for the Lions for the next 20-25 years.

Because, on the strength of that, he strikes me as being pretty well unemployable.

His instagram lacked class. And maturity. And sound judgement.

I expect some of his teenage twitter fan base found some short term excitement in it though.

Can't believe I was actually disappointed to see him pushed out of the leadership group.

Moloney would have been a better captain than trengove and grimes.

Grimes has stated he wasn't ready, trengove is still a kid and moloney had just won our Bluey and could mix it with the leagues toughest.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
