Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Jack said that his shoulder feels like that there is nothing wrong but he cant wait to get back into contact training which should be in about a week.

He again reiterated how much the players are amazed at the success of the volunteers phoning up previous members. Jack spoke of the possibility of a player coming in next year each week to support the volunteers.

Jade Rawlings said that the playing group were really upbeat and that there was something extra there today - must be that we are playing Co$$$$$$$od. (OK mjt etc - I will get in before you they should be like this each week).

I agree with WW Jack W would have to be one of the nicest most accessible players at the Club.

There was a lot of talk amongst the players during training. I would like to see more of that transferred to game day.

Run and carry was fantastic but again OK to carry it out at training we need it when the other side are trying to kill you (as someone said today)

Great to meet up with fellow positive Demonlanders (yes, there are some). RL see you next in the mounting yard!!

All in all a good day. Disappointing turnout compared to the last time but still much appreciated by the players.

Demon Dog wore his demon jumper albeit a little tight around the girth. He was a great hit with the players and had many photos taken. Obviously impressed by his physique!

Nice morning. Great to catch up with LS/Demon dog, sis/Gypsy and Redleg. Was expecting a slightly bigger turnout even without the army presence but some is better than none. Contrary to LS I thought it was a pretty low key affair but then it wasn't a closed session mostly just running a few basic drills. Lets hope the boys come out super fired tomorrow.

Have some pics and a vid which I'll try and load later if I get time.

I got the early train & was surprised to see several boys out at 9.40am.

Frawley was doing modest contact work & looked mighty fit to me, but he did disappear before the main crew got serious.

Tx for organising LongSuff.

Word with in the player group is that they would like to support our 2014 membership campaign & will look at getting a rostered player to get to each of our volunteer nights.
Early days on the idea but WOW if we could get it happening.

Hopefully not a distraction to the players(?)... but the thought tells us that our efforts of prac/match support & re phoning are effective & appreciated.

Unfortunately I couldnt make it this morning due to family commitments. Would have loved to have taken my Demon dog along for some photos but the poor little guy is on Prozac at the moment (has been diagnosed with depression and anxiety -OMG) and a bit out of sorts.

Sorry just got there at the end because of unexpected technical issues with the postman pat bicycle. Awkward frankie_d / gravity interaction causing minor loss of skin and major loss of dignity. Just in time to pick up a nice red hat. See you all tomorrow. What time do we leave fed square?

Come on Rusty. I am dying to see the photo of Demon Dog on the site. Maybe he could become the new mascot for Demonland.

So he is back for the Saints game?

Obviously Jack chatted to a few of us. He told me too he is three weeks away but also indicated that meant after the Dogs and Saints so that sounds like four calendar weeks and three rounds. Still, he said he felt like playing this week, just needs to start contact work.

Mitch however is a different matter. He has yet to resume running. He is being assessed every four days.

It sounds like his progress is slower than hoped.

I have no knowledge of the progress of Mitch but feel it would be crazy to play him again this year

Interesting that Grimes is on the LTI not Mitch, when Grimes seems to be the injury with less complications.

To put a player on the LTI, that player needs to agree to go on the LTI. I wonder if this was a situation of Mitch being too competitive to be willing to sit out matches on the off chance he could be back? Grimes has to miss at least 8 weeks (56 days) from when he was put on the LTI list.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
