GAME DAY - Round 9

Featured Replies

How bad is our day going?

We are sponsored by Opel and instead of showing our boys on the Opel ad, they are showing the bloody Sydney Roosters!

Even Fox Footy has had it with the Dees.

dockers kick another goal, only 30 secs into 2nd qtr 53-7. i think i might crawl into a corner and cry for a while :(

At least Dawes is getting physical....

i50s 17 to 4

Its hard to believe how pathetic we are.

I have decided that anything I say about todays game will be only hurting myself.

See you next week....

Next week will be no better.

Has a coach ever been sacked at half time??

This is sh!t.... I'm out. Stuff this club.

See you next week....

I'd wait until the bye is over.

Poor Docker fans - they must be getting bored.

The have to sack Neeld tonight.......there is no other option.

This could be 186 Part 2. I've already broken the remote - again, and the dog won't come anywhere near me. I think I'm done. I'll be back when Jesse plays his first game.

Sad thing is... I called it. There were very satisfied with themselves last week and have let themselves go to sleep.
Peter Jackson, I implore you. Ron Joseph sacked Gary Buckenara while he was up there as a temporary CEO. There is a precedent there...

I've had enough. Get rid of this bloke. He is killing the football club.
P.S. Funny how SCH, Jumbo and so on don't make appearances during these game day threads.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
