Jesse Hogan v Joe Daniher

It seems to me that both clubs have man made mountains.

At the moment id say both are pretty similar to each other but the great thing about Melbourne's Hogan is that he is only 17 where as Daniher is a year to his age.

I am predicting both to have long and fulfilling careers but who do you reckon is better and why?

personally my tip is Hogan, but that could be me.. having faith in our 17 year old god

If I could only choose one I'd say Daniher, I just can't believe some of the things he can do for a guy his size. Also he will dominate the ruck as well as full forward or CHF. Although Hogan is younger I believe he is more physicaly developed than Daniher who won't be physicaly matured for another 4 or 5 years.

Both players will be extremely good players for their respective clubs.

Daniher seems to have a breathtaking mark. but Hogan to me seems abit more explosive? anyone agree with that?

Hogan is a year younger, much bigger physically, massive tank, plus a touch of arrogence and loves a scruff. Hogan for me! Daniher will be a superstar though.

Weren't you the one who quoted on another thread re the Dogs, where you slated our list, not to expect to much from Hogan because we can't develop kids! So don't expect to much but he is going to be better than Danniher who in your words will be a superstar.

if Hogan was on another team id be saying he was absolutely the next superstar of the AFL

But he plays for us so he will never reach his potential unless this club learns how to develop players

The way we develop our players its just hard to see us develop our kids to there full potential atm.. i do reckon hogan has much upside but the way we go about things i dont expect him to make any great deal of impact first couple of years but in the long run i reckon he has more upside then Daniher.

Honestly, You could argue either way. Both will be amazing forwards. Daniher can go into the ruck and have an impact, while Hogan can go Back. Both have breath taking abilities that will entertain us for years to come!

I have only seen Daniher a couple of times az_tec but he seems to have an amazing set of hands, sort of like Sam Reid, but think he might be a better kick for goal. Could be wrong but that is what I saw, maybe others who have watched him more could enlighten us a little more.

From what I saw Daniher is a shizen kick for goal but he might be improving .

The Hulk has a perfect kick and could be Johhno Brown Mark 2.

If we had a midfield imagine the damage Clark ,Hogan ,Dawes and Howe up forward could do.

How about we settle on the superstar status already.

Lets hope his transition to AFL is a smooth one and he is developed well next year under some decent leaders and in

a better environment than he's currently in.

He looks to have the tools. Come on MFC. It's time to develop a star.

Hogan is having his breakout season same exact age Daniher did.

And despite Bomber fans drooling over Danihers goals,  Hogan has a higher career goal average.     2.1 vs Danihers 1.8 .

Career stats  https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?playerStatus1=A&tid1=6&playerStatus2=A&tid2=12&type=A&pid1=3804&pid2=3916&fid1=C&fid2=C

Hogan has him covered just about everywhere statistically. (including goals, contested marks,  total marks, marks inside 50, disposals)  And thats with Daniher having an entire breakthrough season up his sleeve and playing 42 more career games.

Hogan the superior player and a year younger.  Hopefully he can get an AA guernsey this season.

Co-incidence that only a day after Dyson Heppel  forcefully stated that players who don’t buy into the Essendon culture(cue mind boggle) should go elsewhere we hear that Joe Daniher might miss at least a month with a “groin”(cue anything they do not want public) injury that apparently has been bothering him since early in the year. No mention in the public domain that I recall of this niggle before today. Something smells.

Agree, I'm sure he is sore but seems suss that they say they've known about it for so long and then this. Something stinks internally at the Bombers.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
