Sack the receptionist - the old one quit after a nervous breakdown - two days in and we lose by 10 goals.

Actually only 13 days. Tomorrow will be two weeks :P

He's got a 6 month contract .....we need to hold the faith for at least another 2 weeks

Agreed. I watched The Hobbit last night. What a pile of glossy garbage. Hang your head in shame Jackson.

shouldnt we wait until he appoints the wrong coach and then attack him and whinge about HIS appointments for 2 years

and gazza will swoon in like a seagull on a hot chip and save us all.

oops did i say that aloud

He's had 2 weeks, and look at the state of the club. 10 goal loss to the Suns ? He's gotta go

And do what your name suggests? ;)

I was trying to hold back my enthusiasm for that movie to come out.... well founded in doing so. Even with the low expectations that steaming pile of septic garbage did not meet any of them. Jackson you are an over-rated hack!

Terrible. I would desribe it as "Lord of the Dwarves by Disney" (or "Snow White with Trolls, and Snow White is a Hobbit").

What's most tragic is the EPIC soundtrack from the LOTR films, one of the very best things about that triology, was made to sound tired, almost vapid.

Anyhow, a bit off-topic. :D

Think we could all use a bit of off-topic.

FWIW, they weren't going for an epic sound on the soundtrack. Scored and arranged differently to try and achieve that. Perhaps should have gone the whole hog with a different composer.

Perhaps there's something in that for our own PJ to draw on ... though not sure what. Replace the bugler?

Parts sounded exactly the same, and its now lost its impact through overuse.

That said, if you ever get the chance to hear the score played live, do it. Last year a friend convinced me to attend a screening of The Two Towers at the Opera House, with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing live. Whether you like orchestral music or not, worth very penny.

We can't afford to sack him.

We can't afford to not sack him.

Melbourne!

Gorgoroth pointed out that it was only 13 days, and not the full fortnight. So ... I decided to wait. Another day, still nothing. He definitely has to go.

Reading this i have remembered "Two Sheds" Jackson. A great poster.

Hope he is still watching all this somewhere.

R.I.P. 2 Sheds...

Sack him.I dont like people named after cigarette brands.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
