I reckon Jordie will be up to speed by then.

Up to speed? Hell we will need some speed when we face their midfield, not sure Jordie and speed should be in the same sentence.

i'D LET dUNNY RUN WITH HIM,HE HAS THE SIZE AND STAMINA,oh crap

Dunny should be our no. 1 run with, drop Jordie and bring in an extra mid.

Yeah let's wait a week!

Hell we could even win this week, imagine that!

But if spencer isn't dropped this week he will be next

Martin will be a worry in the first half, send someone, maybe a dunn, to him then. His second half's are very poor. So he isn't our main worry. If we curtail Cotchin, we will be within a shot of the win.

Could be interesting, even if we're still a week away:

The Tigers were already under the pump after losing three games on the trot, and the absence of Cotchin (knee), Vickery (concussion) and Grimes (foot) hurts their chances of turning things around. They have also lost Ricky Petterd to a calf problem.

Vickery should be OK with a week off, but perhaps the others might need more time ... We certainly need all the help we can get, perhaps the injury gods will throw a little something our way.

Funny how many people called for his delisting and suddenly he's the flavour of the month.

it wouldn't be fair to hate on the same players all the time, we need to share the hatred around every once and a while

Put Blease on him, Martin only plays half a game which would suit Blease just fine.

Put Blease on him, Martin only plays half a game which would suit Blease just fine.

Cause Blease plays no game so only gets crunched for 2 quarters this time instead of the usual 4?

Out: spencer (not worth developing), Nicholson (soft and unskilled), Bail (Vfl standard), Sylvia (susp), Davey, Kent (both not fit enough)

In: Fitzy, Jetta, Blease, Magner, Toumpas, Taggert

Fb: Garland Frawley Terlich

Hb: Dunn Sellar Strauss

C: Evans. Jones. Jones

Hf: Howe. Dawes. Byrnes

Ff: Blease. Fitzy. Tapscott

Foll: Gawn. Mckenzie viney

Int: jetta Magner Taggert

S: Toumpas

in - an experienced coach with runs on the board

out - Neeld

OUT: Sylvia (suspended), Spencer, Nicholson, McKenzie, Kent

IN: Magner, Jamar, Watts, Jetta, Taggert

I don't think Strauss deserves a game, but I would rather he get an extended run.

Why would we bring

Ins- Nicholson,Pederson, Rodan

Outs- Blease, Davey, Kent

Why bring back in Nicholson, Pederson and Rodan? They have all have a few goes this year, why don't we try some young guys that haven't had a go yet, Davis, Taggert etc

Whats that saying about Deck chairs

ADD SELLAR TO THE OUTS

why? He dropped one mark and had one goal kicked on him. Everything else including his disposal was fine. We need more players who get set a task and do it. Probably top 5 to 10 who played today and not at all the problem with this team.

Same goes for Strauss. Maybe had a goal or two kicked on him but he got one back himself and won some contests down back. He also tried to run the ball. The run too far against him whilst close to 15 was a crazy decision in the scheme of the game

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
