Actions speak louder than words !

Lets see what difference it truly makes

MELBOURNE has vowed to fight back in this week's game after the removal of their CEO yesterday.

At a team "bonding" breakfast in Sorrento today, assistant coach Neil Craig and star defender Jack Watts both said it was time to turn around their game.

Craig admitted the team was under immense pressure after two disastrous losses and the exit of CEO Cameron Schwab but said players wouldn't be affected by the latest management crisis.

"In footy clubs players play," he said.

Questions needing answers ?

If the club does play better this weekend and the players actually play a truly contested game ?

Is it a result of CS getting the flick?

Is it a result of Media Pressure ?

Is it a result of the Supporters turning up to training ?

(The only real positive I see at the moment)

If they fail miserably again is that because ?

CS got the flick ?

Is it because of Media pressure?

Or is it just because our club is so dysfunctional at the moment that no matter what we do we cant get out of the hole we have dug for ourselves since Baily was appointed?

What did you wanrt him to say

"Half the players hated Cameraon and they are hapopy as hell he is gone, they will definitely play art their best from now on"

Is this your latest Range Roverish effort, does that mean you want heads to roll and who and replaced by who

No i don't want heads to roll as such. But they will. This season is only 2 weeks old.

The Broom wasn't big enough after the 186 point thumping at the hands of Geelong - Schwab should have been sacked right there and then. At the time the club thought it best not to let a CEO and Coach go at the same time - that was a mistake. It would have been a Bold call to let them both go but the right call. Now, lets not make the same mistake again. It's time to go Don - he is an embarrassment of a President. His performance in the media has been diabolical and his backflip of not making any radical changes proves that he simply can't be trusted to speak the truth and then follow through with anything he says. If Don had any decency he would have put his head on the chopping block along with Cameron Schwab last night.

Don and the board made the appalling decision not to let Schwab go after the 186 point debacle, Don in his infinite wisdom decided that the next best course of action was to offer him a 3 year contract whereby he barley lasted even 1 year. Sorry Don - time you stood down and accepted responsibility now - off you go!

I do wish someone would keep Watts away from the media. His credibility is zero. Let him find some consistent form, then wheel him out.

I wish ours would. We might not be in this mess if they'd do that more than a couple of times a year.

Hence my reference to Range Rover, if you don't want heads to roll, why say it?.......headline "Supporter forum still thinks more heads should roll".....why give the Fourth Estate vultures any ammunition......as we all know they will be trawling boards such as this today and Twitter, so they can "write" their piece for the back page tomorrow.....hello to any of them reading this, any chance you will put your hand up, or would constitute a move similar to the Gillard government, make sure you quote me, not an 'unnamed source' close to the club

I say it because it must happen. The performance of our president first backflipping on the tanking strategy and then his performance in the last 72 hours has been very poor.

The letter to the members was pure comedy.

The coach will live or die on wins

Chris Conolly is in vietnam. Keep relaxing Chris.

That is a start.

As i said the season is only 2 weeks old and the side is not AFL standard.

The may have fitness but mentally they are shot.

It is a disgrace that this was allowed to occur.

Who lets Jack Watts face the media? Gee the club sends out some mixed messages. Not good enough during the game but fronting up to the media 3 days later?

I'm so bloody confused half the time about the decisions regarding players. Let Clark and Jones speak. Older heads with less pressure on them, and some runs on the board. Jacks not even in the 9 person leadership group (which ironically is half the side).

ive said it before mitch should be captain and the one speaking on behalf of the players. watto should be a junior player learning the game, not a media personality.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
